1)How to synthesize that fuzzy ambient drone thing used in chillout or such?
Also, how to make the drone "move" like it is done in many tunes, looks like some sweep of frequencies in that drone, how to do that?

2)Is ther eany site with good samples,of anything?I need stuff like rain, birds tweat, water drop, people talk, stuff like that .           From all the things I lost, that sandwitch cost me most :)

1) post a recording of an example

2) google: rain/birds tweat/water drop/people talk sample. Or buy a microphone and record you own, imo those end up being the coolest samples.           --

ahhhhhhhhh the drone, my favorite thing to make in the world <3

there are so so so so so many ways. to make a good one, the key is really nice proccesing.

things that come in handy:

- modular noodle patches
- pitch shifters
- reverbs
- filters moving ever so slowly
- time stretchers
- delays
- eq eq eq eq and more eq
- layering of sounds

the key to everything is slow slow slow lfos, on EVERYTHING.... that is the movement you seek... my taste in drones is to make things move so slowly you can barely notice it over a few seconds, but for example in the span of 30 seconds the sound changes gradually.

when i make drones i make material in scope modular and/or sample things, then work in soundforge, and just go nuts with the proccesing and layering and fades.

if you want check my site in the "elmooht" tab, this is my drones project

Slow, slow envelopes/LFOS slowly modulating filter, pitch, Pulse Width, things like that

Also, extreme time stretching through something like Paulstretch works great too.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

So,Faxi man,Ive been doing what you have said (I guess).I've been taking some samples of whatever there is,stretching the kaka out of them, puting them on first octave in piano roll, and LFO filter, pitch, and a bit of sound out of them.
Puting different sample, streching again the hellz out of it,puting all the LFO on it,and put it one octave higher in piano roll.Sounds ok,but it still kinda thin. Not "far" enough, not cool enough ambience.

What is that noodle stuff you talk about and where can one read about that?

Also,is there any good reverb for that kind of stuff,or what reverb setings are good to make stuff "back there",so it will sound as if it will put you to sleep ?

Also, the ambience during the kick and bass roll, when people shake their asses, ain't working that well. Are there any good gating plugs that make rythmical subtle stuff(not the regular "trance gate" sutff, something that you can have subtle rythmical pump).

Can someone pls explain quickly what exactly you mean with drones here?

I know what a drone bass is for example, but that makes no sense here...           My first track:

You can download Protoplasm and Shuniji from here for free:
http://www.hgf-synthesizer.de/
both vsts are very very good for ambient...check them out you will love with these...

Also if you using ableton here is a great tutorial of how you can create ambient textures and pads from a single one-note instrument sample, its amazing!!!

Good luck bro!
