Well Twisted Records was always one of my favorite labels since it features some great artists like Hallucinogen,Shpongle,Synthetic,Tristan and many more,so when i saw this compilation i grabbed it immediatelly without any second thoughts.

Tracklist
01.Younger Brother-The finger
02.DSP-Have a good time (All the time)
03.Twisted Allstars-Blue sky on Mars
04.Tristan-Fortean times
05.The Good The Bad And The Ugly-Mescalito (Synthetic remix)
06.Prometheus-Mekong delta
07.Fly Agaric-I see myself (Unmixed demo version)
08.Younger Brother-Dwarves (Main mix)
09.Shpongle-Dorset perception (Total Eclipse remix)

The first track is probably one of the best tracks of this year and not only,The Finger is such an original and amazing track with fabulous vocal samples, melodies and beat,a real killer on the dancefloor all around the world and for sure the best track on this cd for me.Then we have DSP with a nice track, its not something special but its a worthy one that i enjoy listening to it.Next there it comes Twisted heavy artillery with an amazing track that i very much like.Blue Sky On Mars is a very danceable track with nice melodies that will make everyone move at a party. The fourth track is Fortean Times from Tristan,i didnt liked this one maybe because it seemed a little repetitive to me,same sounds again and again and i got bored of it real fast.Moving on we have a remix from Synthetic to Mescalito,a great track that was released on Sound Sorcery's Time And Space Part 1 compilation. This is a very good remix that worths its money, nice work by Dado.Next there is Prometheus with Mekong Delta a nice groovy and melodic track very different from his previous works, nice effort with nice vocal samples.Fly Agaric is a collaboration between Hallucinogen and Infected Mushroom and it easy to understand that I See Myself is a hell of a track since its been produced by two of the greatest artists around.Amazing beat and vocals,a big hit at parties and one of the best tracks in this compilation, you must hear this one. Then we again have Younger Brother with a superb track,Dwarves is simply amazing in every aspect, funny introduction, crazy kicks and great atmosphere, cant wait for Younger Brother's first album released by Twisted,it will be a killer for sure.Finnally there is a remix from Total Eclipse to Shpongle's Dorset Perception that was released at their second album Tales Of The Inexpressible.A very nice remix to a very good tune, ideal track for ending this compilation.
Unusual Suspects is one of the best compilations i have ever heard and if you havent yet heard it then i feel sorry for you.Offcourse you can still find it at the closest music store near you,its never too late.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

excellent review detox dude
i second your (almost) every word, though i think the tristan track is actually quite good in and insistent sort of way. but i guess insistent could just be a polite way of saying repetitive           >>love will tear us apart...<<

My favorites 1, 8, 9, 3... These are 4 of the best tracks I have heard this year, and I still smile every time I hear Dwarves (reminds me of Hallucinogen's live act). The rest of the album is good, but these will be remembered as classics. No less.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

also didn't like this one so much. very light-hearted, which is not bad, but also it sounded a little "dumbed-down" like it was written just for the dance floor and not at all for the mind. but that's just me, i like music that is more serious and mental.

I don't get it - why do people expect trance to be so hardcore, dark and serious all the time. When tracks are free and flowing, light and made with a smile, it's wonderful to hear it in the morning.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

At least Twisted Records is faitful to the psychedelic rootz and is not selling out to the techno or house(dragonfly/FR) bandwagon...
The result is a very fine album that every old skooler should have...

Highlights 1,4, 9...

Well this is my favorite compilation this year so far. Simon Posford and friends show some respect to their roots and presenting bright future for the label {the best label in UK}. My favorites in this release are: 1,2,6,7,9.
Absolutely lovely morning tunes.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me
