That's not against the guidelines Ott, giving people's names is.

And...I doubt Psy_Mystic is the name written on his passport, so what's the fuss about real names???

Freedom of speech that's what is all about. BTW, I was there, and I have my truth as well, everybody has his own truth...and you'll be surpised about how many are closer to HPD than to the "oficial" one.

The, for me, rather suspicious thing is the fact of hot potato dongle knowing some relevant facts of the party and organization itself, and quite close to SiB...may be an unpaid artist givin' a bit of the old rant???

It would have been more effective face to face probably, but may be that would cost him a gig or 2...I couldn't care less, honestly.

I had a wicked time at this party as did many other people, you only have to read all the replies on Psy-Forum to pick that up.
I have been to many amazing parties in this country since the early days, and I can tell you that this was definately up there with some of the best. The music in every room was incredible, and I really don;t see the problem with the way that the psy scene is developing in London.

Mr potatoe dongle needs a damn good peeling to ...            - - It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice... - -

My guess is that he's had his demo rejected by Twisted at some point in the past.

good one mr OTT...here you showing us who is the master wanker...

your reaction to the potato's words infact shows that some truth is there 4 SURE !

I know the potato identity (it's not me) and I know that he/she hasn't given any demos to Twisted, simply because is not doing any music...your assumption reveals the huge arrogance of which you and your m8s are full of...aristocratic bulls !

you are right in feeling so fat....so many brainwashed dudes give you this power...

and dear Justin, your suspicion is wrong too....he is not an "artist"...and if he/she was working there he/she has been payed....
his/her post about the Twisted bullshit is not because of personal frustration or vendetta...but a clear observation about what is going on in the trance scene (and not only in uk) this days...infact as you say...many are the ones who have a different opinion from the "official" holy word.

and I can only say that I wasn't there...and I would not even go if I was in london...because I actually think that mr potato is absolutely right....and I don't even need to go and check it out personally...

and because I don't give a damn to loose 999 gigs or to give my demo to twisted...I use my "real" name...and I can tell you that he/she quoted my words when he said:

"Twisted parties are package trance for psy idiots"

now you all can eat me alive...I am spicy tho.

enjoy the freedom of speech while we can.

I really enjoyed the discussion started by Mr Potato:) he has really the right to express his feelings!I had expressed also my not so good experience in one of the Mass΄s psy party two months ago, (check http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/103849/forum/42/start/15) and my opinion was not also well accepted by the others, thinking that I was organizing a vendetta or something like that! No, I just expressed a constructive critic!Unfortunatelly, some people do not like to be criticized, even if it is for its own development!Unfortunately, I could not go to this event, but I went to the last Twisted party (in simon posford΄s birthday party) and I have been amazed by the quality of everything, however for the huge amount of people, it is obvious that this kind of "special" gatherings with this quality of production just can be totally appreciated in outdoors, it is really a pity not being possible.

Actually I agree that Ott can seem to be a bit of a rude boy on this forum, I've noticed the quick slating of others and sarcastic posts. But I don't know if this has anything to do with brainwashed kids giving him 'power'!!

Holy Crap... the shit is hitting the fan... at least you guys are talking about it...

i'm just worried that someone I know and trust is this person. I would love to be told this to my face. I would also love to know what someone's idea of a REAL psy trance party is these days?

If you ask me... I'm bored SHITLESS of trance. There you go... its public. There's only so long one formula can work. Why do you think the kids are the ones that love it? Cause they're the ones that are fresh on the scene. They haven't heard every fucking combo of saw wave and hi hat and reverb and diggah diggah diggady donk whap. Its very very hard to write trance for adults now. Let alone make them happy in a party.

I'm only 24 and i'm one of them. 16 kicks in a row at anything over 135bpm is usually enough to make me wince. I did not enjoy the Twisted party particularly. Its hard to when you have to be resposible. I thought the sound was dodgy after Prometheus, some of the music did not do it for me on the main stage and I thought the decor in the main room was a bit lacking.

It was still a fucking great night, great vibe and something really new though. I wish to GOD i had seen Hallucinogen in DUb or Younger BRother. Sadly i was playing to a full room! :-s

I've been trying to do something different for ages... parties which aren't just trance all fucking night. Twisted are trying to evolve too...

do you want us to just keep doing the same thing again and again? change can be hard but it leads to a better thing.

Dear Simon it is not me. But if you want to know what i think about it..
I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH HOT POTATOE.
Really Really boring, not even for kids..
and i've never seen so many people sitting in a trance dancefloor.
I was there and you know this, because you called to play in your vip room.
About the music, really no comment.
I've just heard a great dj set from Greg Hunter, one good track from prometheus, and i missed Ott at the beginning which was for sure much more interesting than the ''trance'' acts.
I really havent seen the great vibe you have mentioned.
I have seen a couple of unsolved djs not happy at all, but hey, who cares ? i guess it happens innit?
Btw i had fun playing and i have seen a lovely screen, very cool the grid.
Btw if you trust me you should have called me , and i'd say to you, look it is not me, i would even have said to you who is hot potatoe, which is completely right if you ask me.

So now you have my review, also.

JOSKO (Giorgio Gatti)

P.S. i've never sent a demo to twisted, just to be clear.. ahahahaha

You know what though Justo? It's not so much about the fact that the guy didn't enjoy his night - there were parts of the evening that didn't do anything for me, quite frankly - it's the fact that in venturing his opinion, he's slagging off the organisers, artists, VJs and happy punters alike, some of whom I happen to know were papping themselves with nerves beforehand (oh yes, I'm looking at you oh-so-arrogant Mr. Ott) and/or worked their butts off to get everything running as smoothly as possible (looking at you Mr. Dave Who Stayed In The Geek Booth All Night Twiddling Knobs!) As in, getting all personal, which there is surely no need to do?

Constructive criticism is one thing. Rudeness is another.

BTW I had a wicked night, thank you all!

Exactly.

You didn't enjoy your night? Sorry. Better luck next time.

But don't sit and slag off all the people who had a fucking great night and call them "psy-trance idiots" because they don't share your "truth" and don't insult the people who spent hours and weeks of their lives trying to create something special and especially don't do it from behind the safety of a made-up name.

I know I should just ignore this fucking cowardly troll but I can't help feel defensive because I know how many people worked really fucking hard to get this night to happen and I know precisely the spirit in which it was done.

Hot potato dongle is talking out of his arse and I just hope that next time he decides not to worm his way onto the guest list only to shit on his mates at the first opportunity he gets.

Well done Ross, Calve, the Simons and the hundred or so other people who worked like fuck to make this party happen and big up to all the people who came along and made it feel as good as it did.

Well...lucky him/her, I freaking wasn't, and I'm not the only one...of course none of us is cool enough to have Fisted records after our shamanic names in (), so unglamorous of us.

I think we're clueless, ungrateful twats...we should be jumping out of joy just by getting promotion by the shamans themselves, so cool...we play at Fisted parties!!!

BTW...the soundsystem in the mainroom wasn't dodgy, was rubbish.
And the "floor" (if you can call like that the hall between the cloackroom, toilettes and bar)where I played was, quite simply, a disgrace, thank God I'm able to rock any joint...imagine if I was a Fisted DJ...need to keep on licking, I might make it.

come on man, justin did u honestly hate the night then?
Cause i didnt, i loved it and many other ppl did too!Even ppl who were not in trance but into psychedelia and thats what made this nite special: there was psychedelic music of great bloody quality playing not isolated to trance alone. Twisted is one of the big labels so i guess its gonna have a lot of criticism heading its way ,but insulting ppl who try and make innovative nights take place that is most unwelcome by the scen as a whole i reckon. Anyway, see ya all later           "Detox is for queers"

Blimey, that's constructive. Sorry you had a cacky time fella but not everyone did; remember that.

It cost me £120 saved up over nearly two months to get down there, not including beer/water/baccy/weed money, and it was Mammy Treat money well spent in my eyes. But like I say, it's a personal taste thing...

I'm not licking, I'm not some superstar DJ, I'm not an idiot either (most of the time anyway! ) I'm just a regular punter who likes a good night out, and I had one, as did all my pals. And even those things about it that weren't really my thing, t'was clear that a lot of effort had gone into hosting the evening so respect where respect is due.

Sorry I missed you by the way. I popped my nose round the walls in the top room on a wander while you were playing but as you were obviously busy, I allowed myself to be lured away on the promise of tea and chocolate and when I came back up later I couldn't see you. Catch up with you next time perhaps, hopefully in better fettle.

well this is quite a fucking change from the guy who literally BEGGED me to give him a set at the last party. Then when it turned out it wasn't possible tried to twist my arm into giving him half of MY set!

unbelievable.

so you are the only one who has the right to use insults hey !!! ... I guess so...infact you belong to the FISTed company.

and what about the fact that maybe Potato has been working more than you with no fame ??? ... and had a huge attack of nausea seeing the result of it ?

from what I see it's you squeezing your arse here...trying to defende what is almost impossible to defend...

you are right indeed...you spent alrerady too much of your golden time with us tossers...go back to finish you amazing superbus album that will enlighten us with flishyflashy special effects.

this habit of not paying the less important artists is simply disgusting...if the production of this event was too expensive and couldn't manage to break even with a 25£ ticket and more than 2000 ppl...well...the organizers simply don't know how to do their job.

again...I wasn't there...LUCKY ME !
