Could be the party of the year, but instead was a nightmare due to venue's over capacity, long ques etc.. Dissapointing simply.. Was Twisted a bit greedy maybe? What was the point of asking people to book/buy tickets in advance? The place was packed having as a result making everything a bit of a mission really, the security was even worse.. and the ques in the cloackroom.. simply horendous! Why on earth didn't they book a bigger venue?? If Ren. Rooms was the last and only choise, they should simply sell LESS TICKETS. Please let me know of yr views on the matter..

A very angry Frog..

It has to be said there were too many people.
Constantly being pushed around when all you want to do is have a boogie. The queues for drinks and the cloakroom were indeed outrageous.
If only there would have been half the amount of people there i would have probably had one of my best trance parties ever.

Still, i did enjoy myself.

It has to be said the music & decor was second to none and the sound systems were spot on as well.

Highlights for me - Serge, Natzan, Total Eclipse, Dimitri, Transwave, Tristan, GBU, and the fantastic amount of very attractive girls ;-)

couldnt agree more ; after getting there at 8:00 , being shifted around and told we had to wait for the never ending stream of paryt goers with tickets before they would even start selling us tickets and then being told maybe we will let you in and maybe we wont and 2:30 hours of this bullshit and not one straight awnser from any one fo the security staff (some of them told us there were no more tickets and we were wasting our time and some said there were over 30 and some just had no idea)we decided to pack it in at 11:30 and go home as they hand't even started selling tickets to the ticketless people yet , the "paid" cue was still 100m long with no apparent end in site and i wasnt about to get stuck out side with no public transport and decided to go home sadly after a LONG wait outside. VERY dissapointed with the organisation skills of this party , watched hordes of people streaming in through an open fire escape (none of them paid) , the doors opend an hour late (nearly) and they started moving the paid customers way too late , and maybe 2 entrances (one for paid and one for people whos still had to buy ) would have been nice oh and maybe an organiser with a clue would have helped as none of them seemed to know what was going on and just shrugged their shoulders and gave us a diffrent story every time we enquired as to the status . Two BIG thumbs down for this party on its piss porr management , you guys could have done loads better.

Im sorry if i seem a bit jaded but after all the mission to wait nearyl 3 hours to only go home again really saddened me , i have never had a failed party before now , big up twisted           For those that understand no explanation is necessary ; for those that dont , no explanation is possible

guys... before you slate twisted too much can i set the record straight on a few things.

the venue - the renaissance rooms was not their first choice. the club that was had to pull out due to an 'incident' that happened there a few weeks before. the renaissance rooms was chosen, i believe, mainly because of the funktion 1 system that resided within, at least until the week before the event before it was removed by an irrate ex-executive of the club. it is of course completely impossible to change venues the week before an event the size of twisted so they went ahead as best they could...

as to the issue of too many people... the previous twisted party was rammed, as this one was bound to be. no surprises there then, but the situation was not helped by the fact 100's came in thru an open fire escape. the people that queued for ages have a right to be pissed, but an event of that magnitude in an indoor venue is never going to be able to hold all that want to be there, and those that had tickets do have a right to get in before those who don't.

the veue did mess up a lot of things for the people there that night, namely water, cloak-room, general attitude etc, but beyond all that the music, decor and overall effort of those involved in putting it on deserves to be recognised.

this kind of event would ideally be put on in a sunny outdoor environment. but twisted is a uk label, and constrained by things we have to put up with in the uk - high prices, shite weather, and dick-head bouncers. i for one loved it. the music was incredible. to see green nuns live was a dream come true.

i am sorry some didn't have a good one, but hats off to twisted!
if not the club

Totally agree with you there. Everything about the club itself could have been better; water facilities, cloackroom, security etc. What a shame the organisers kept running into difficulties. In light of all that it's a credit to them that they still managed to put on a good show; some of the acts were phenomenal, the decor and visuals beautiful, and despite the crowds the atmosphere remained friendly.

I'm sorry to those who waited outside on the promise of tickets but to be fair, with few exceptions I expect, the majority of you will have planned to go beforehand and as such had long enough to save up for them in advance. To those that got in through the fire escape, shame on you. There is a reason venues specify capacity and it's primarily to do with the health and safety of all those inside. Knobs.

Suffice to say I'd go again tommorow. Appreciate the efforts of all those involved. I've been grinning like a village idiot ever since. XX

i was standing there when the dude opend the firedoor and half of the poeple standing in line with em made a break and all charged into teh venue

i didnt do it and now thinking back maybe i shjould have , at least then i would have gotten inside

but ill agree with you hamish i was maybe a bit quick to blame twisted when it was more than likely greedy venue owners than bad organisation on twisteds side of things.

i went to the one last year and didnt buy a ticket before hand for that gig either but managed to get one at the door and be inside in no time at all so i dont see the diffrence with that one and this one besides the obvious that SE 1 is a bigger venue.

The only reason i didnt get a ticket before hand is that i couldnt afford one and had to wait for the end of the month to get some cash and that meant getting it at the door

needlless to say ill never be going to one of their parties again with out a presold ticket

and what was with the scalpers seliing tickets for £60 a pop

security should have bounced those fuckers right out of there           For those that understand no explanation is necessary ; for those that dont , no explanation is possible
