I was nervous, it was around five thirty and my friends were still drinking beer and smoking, I ofcourse wanted to go already. This wasn't about having fun. It wasn’t about fucking around. It was dead serious business. We'd better fucking be at the Cablefactory before six. I sure as hell didn't want to miss any of the main performers. When we got there it was something like six twenty. My friends were fucking around, still eating, drinking and smoking, and I just wanted get in. So we got in. That's when we heard that Ott was going to start around nine o'clock. Ooops, my bad. My friends were kinda pissed of.

When we got in I realised that there were maybe like 5 people at the place, and that included the staff. However my biggest nightmare, that “event cancelled” sign could not be seen. Hooray for that! That's pretty much when things got out of controll, almost anyways. Before the event I had drank six beers or so and figured that I would keep the good feeling on the entire night, perhaps have Vodka Redbull every now and then. Don't know what happened but I was way too drunk when it was somehing like seven thirty. Damn the bar! Damn my finnish genes! I was ofcourse having really good time. We decided to go somewhere to grab some food for there still was so much time before the Ott live. As we came back also my girlfriend finally made it there. Just before nine there was some sort of drug check thingy, which I didn't really mind at all since I didn’t have anything on me.

And so Ott started. It wasn't as live as I thought it was going to be. I thought that Simon was going to play some of the guitar lines and that Ott would perhaps have his mouth harmonica thingy with him, for the pirate melodies that is. Maybe even a flute and Cassie and/or Michelle to sing the vocals. However I wasn't really dissapointed at all when I realised that Ott's arsenal really wasn't that big. Well even though that didn't happen, the music was just like I expected, brilliant. The sound system was quite awesome too, more than that to be honest. Also the lights and the decos stunned me. I think there were over 80 moving lights, a multi colour laser and two or three green light lasers. At that time there weren't too many people around. Those who were there were sitting on the floor, just fooling around, chilling so to speak of. I recall seeing this dude, who probably had some sort of cosmic connection thingy with Shiva going on. He was definetly in some sort of state of Nirvana. I also recall this one guy who was apparently playing ballerina as he was spinning around, probably thinking that he could fly. Anyways at the middle of Ott's set I had a little chat with dj Ed from backroom beats, I was pretty drunk but I guess he understood me. Before that I also had a little chatter with Benji Vaughan (Prometheus). Don’t really remember what I talked with him about as at that point I was just way too drunk. Way too drunk for communication that is. I recall Ott playing most if not all of the Blumenkraft tracks, also some stuff that atleast I had never ever heard before. And yes, also his remix of Shpongle's “Around the World in Tea Daze”, which I think will be released on “Shpongle – The Remixes” later on this summer. UH! His set started chilled and ended stomped. At the beginning people were just sitting around, the few that were there anyways. At the end everyone was dancing and the main hall was pretty much full. At the end the tracks with the 4x4 stuff (the last half of Blumenkraft) were really doing the job well. I really enjoyed the set though a few times there were breaks that Ott did by mistake. I didn't even notice those, but later had a chat with the chap and he was explaining how he had the music going on at the headphones and he was just jamming just to have Simon knock on his shoulder for like "dude there's no music".

After that it was Younger Brother time. They started with “Weird on a Monday Night”, then played “The Receptive”, then “Evil and Harm”. I started suspecting whether they just had the album spinning in some player. Somewhere during “Evil and Harm” I got a chance to have a chat with Ott. We talked about things such as Samothraki and.. hmmm I was drunk, but definetly not a hysteric screaming fan. I was trying to buy him a beer but apparently he was just drinking water. Did give him a sip from my smugled water bottle. All in all he was really nice chap, just like the interviews make him look like! We or I kept on talking for something like 20 minutes. That's when I hit the bar for.. maybe like the 5th time. But this time I didn't buy any booze, just smuggled some more water to the mainhall. Why wasn't it allowed? Anyways I succeeded, again, in my highly illegal smugling mission. I think at this time it was already Prometheus playing, don't know what I was doing, but I definetly totally missed his set. I think I was getting even drunker at the chill out while listening to dj Ed. I recall hearing some Shpongle like tunes, maybe unreleased tracks? But also more non psychedelic beats. That’s pretty much when it was no more beer for me. Did buy really cool Shpongle T-shirt!

Hallucinogen started somewhere around one thirty. And what a start it was! He gave us, the audience, really powerful version of LSD. It was like the original but treated with the 2003 twisted sound. Check out “Unsual Suspects” compilation. That’s what this remixe’s style reminded me of. From the very beginning till the very end I just danced, danced and danced. I was pretty much jumping, bouncing and doing the weirdest moves ever. Boy if my mom would have seen me! I recall hearing very awesome version of Gamma Goblins, didn't resemble the original at all, very much the same style again than in that “Unusual Suspects” compilation. Simon did play quite a few tracks from the compilation actually. I think I heard at least “I see Myself”, that “have a good time all the time” track and then the one with the “atfirst when I arrived in England” sample. Damn it would have been cool if Simon would have dubbed it “atfirst when I arrived in Finland”, that would have been so fat! Shamanix was another highlight. During it I was honestly flying! Jiggle Of The Sphinx was definetly heard also. Simon did also play totally new tracks, quite many actually which I ofcourse enjoyed fully. At the very end Simon played some chilled track, which I didn’t recognize, partial reason being that I only heard the very beginning for my friends decided to leave at that point. Damn them! But since one of them was the guy with the car I just had to go.

So all in all this was pretty much the best party I’ve ever been at. Only tiny downside is that the organizer didn’t give us the play times. So we could have arrived three hours later. Other than that, respect and huge thank you with a cherry on top for Thirteen Productions and ofcourse the Twisted posse, who I hope I’ll also get to see at the end of the summer at Samothraki. It was, really truly nice to meet you guys! I wish I would have been a little less drunk, but maybe next time!

..i'll let you know when some pics are online.. atleast this one guy took over 700mb of pics so..           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."
