I want to go to a Shpongle show but only a real full act... going to see a DJ set seems kind of silly since I already know what music he is going to play, just not what order it is played in! |

Dear ozorians and shpongolians,
i wish you would read what SimonP has to say about uploading new CD album on the web ( http://www.twistedmusic.com/forums/v...674/P15/#17484 ) ....thereafter all understand that our beloved shpongle needs support not only by open-hearted energy on the concerts and after...but also by buying ORIGINAL CD...and also DVD...
being one of you ozorians & shpongolians...kindly consider to do yourself a favor and buy ORIGINAL (now available on preorder on twisted website)....in order we can expect to see Simon & Shpongle crew & Twisted on Live p.a.s and more releases.

well in my previous incarnation on the forum before that incarnation was kicked out...i did mention the possibility of venture capital for the scene...its still very much exists.
And while all the mainstream media houses are facing a talent crunch, this scene in all its subgenres and forms has a lot of talent and creativity...as well as potential for improvement. only if you take me seriously for a change i can email those interested in seeing the model that i have created already for an EDM/IDM Fund- venture capital. what i am lacking is someone who knows financial modeling and if you know that and are interested i can email it to you as well. i have sent idea to several labels and have discussed it with several media professionals too and they see the potential...all i need is a top finance guy/gal who appreciates and likes all electronic music.

I place my order, new shpongle dvd, cd and their previous 3 albums, both of hallucinogens works, and both from younger brother.
he is coming in november 28, Im going to make him to sign them all

You 're very right. I love Simon's music though and what's happening is bad for twisted. But shit happens for everyone and new solutions can be found. Remember that the last year so many people lost their jobs and many families cound not manage to have food. I cant be so sorry for rich people who cant affort losing money.. |

Well this issue is more about Twisted Records surviving, and more Simon H than Simon P's "financial predicament".
Simon P, makes a living from Dj'ing/performing, but it is Twisted as an entity, and mostly Simon H who has worked as hard as Simon P (at least according to Simon P) who faces uncertain times, and the other artists on the label.
Probably what they could do with more than anything, is a decent Harvey Goldsmith character with the money, nouse and connections to take them to the "next level" in "corporate/commercial terms".

Exactly.
Simon P, Benji and I all earn a living playing gigs, from which Twisted don't make a penny.
Simon H and Twisted Records depend entirely on record sales to make a living.
The whole Shpongle album leak scenario leaves me quite speechless to be honest.
Surely the douchebag who uploaded it could at least have waited until after the official release date to do it couldn't he/she?
It's almost as if it is being done out of spite or malice. |
