when i got informed of this party i was so happy since all the gabi & twins parties i have been too have been so amazing, from A to Z.
i could have gone to the domo party or the party near jerusalem but i said, " the twins??? we are going there!"
i have always had an amazing time at their parties, sad this time it was different.
*Nature Party - NO.
*Garden Party - YES.
outdoor,green grass to dance on, trees, the cineret, some fences, toilets , houses and some more fences, some barbwire, some more fences.
*was very dissapointed to find out it wasn't a nature party, should have used my common sense and come to the conclusion that 500 meters from a big junction near Tveria can't be too naturish.
*anyway, the sound was great, the deco was great, the prices sucked , the music was good.
the vibe was, well there was no vibe.
the arsim were cute and nice this time.
the cineret was beautifull and the sunrise was great.
the bugs weren't nice but the brown dog was very.
the lady with the poyces was amazing.
*total sleeping time at this party : 4 hours. ***PERSONAL RECORD***
*it was the 1st time i saw people moving and not dancing, it was very weird... at night no one really danced' just moved like they were dancing, including me... lucky that in the morning it changed and i got to dance some
*thanks to the 200 security dudes that made me feel so safe including my bags my pockets, my ass and the rest of myself.
*Hi Guy
*thanks to Yonni for playing a great set and very nice remixes of Psysex tracks, track names would be warlmy welcome, especially of that thumping groovey great track i liked so much.
Thanks Gabi and the twins for throwing this party, next time just inform people if it's a Garden party.

I thought to myself - well, at the worst, it'll be on par with the Purim party which the twins organized about a year and a half ago now. Not really nature, crowd mixed yet colorful and happy, and music decent (Gabi always does his job well, usually the other DJs know their job well like Shane Gobi or BLT, two favorites of the organizers).
I got there around 1:30AM. To (no more and no less) Nirvana Beach on the Kineret.
Strike one.
Anna was spinning, giving a very interesting progressive set (very Plusquamish, with Planet BEN, Auricular and the likes being in the center of it), not too agressive, but really getting the party into a proper groove. Barely anyone was on the dancefloor until around 3:00, during which she started playing some more full-on oriented music (Wizzy Noise is a good selection at that, and that's basically the direction).
During her set I was asked 3 times if I know where to buy extasy.
Strike two.
There was a LOT of extasy going around. It really saddens me because two years ago, there was only the occasional E-head at their parties, most just smoking the hell out of themselves (or dancing sober) with acidheads (not really sure about how many actually, but quite a few) getting into crazy karahanas. This was easily seen on the dancefloor, as during the harsher, darker and more agressive moments of the night, I found myself dancing harder than all of the overly euphoric people there.
And speaking of harsh, dark and agressive - Gabi gave a real pounding set, evil, dark, and VERY well structured set. Groovy at times, and at others just senseless stomping, but with a lot of method in the madness, a lot of diversity in the music and you could never be sure what's going to happen. Most of the music was around the 138-142bpm range, showing that you do NOT need to work at 144+ in order to give a good full-on set. People who took extasy could still enjoy the 2 cosma tracks there, but other than that, this was pure take-no-prisoners digging. Slowly but surely Gabi is becoming my favorite Israeli DJ at night (which is pretty surprising since I don't really like most full-on), delivering an awesome just-before-the-sunrise set.
Then came Goblin, storming with rolling basslines and raising the bpm level and giving harsh beats with loads of breaks in all shapes and sizes to both let the crowd rest and keep the energy level high. The music was pretty decent even though not my cup of tea, very danceable. But after 40 minutes of rolling basslines and no real groove, I get bored. Luckily, I left the dancefloor just before the Money for Nothing remix, which is quickly becoming the track that succeeds annoying me best at parties. He raised the bpm more and more throughout the set, but as far as I'm concerned, the exact same style at a different bpm is not my idea of diversity. I just became bored and stopped dancing (even though some of the tracks where great - Survival Kit being the peak of the set for me).
But, I didn't let this stop me from having fun. I sat around, talked with some friends, ate a burekas, drank some chai, and then Paul Taylor came up. The crowd was decidedly on a shitload of extasy, trying to float with the music instead of going in a real karahana. After less than 30 minutes, I found out that he's basically in the same musical direction as Goblin. High energy, lots of breaks, rolling basslines and no well-defined grooves. He didn't do anything that Goblin didn't do (he WAS better, with a more musical perspective and less formulaic music selection, but not by much). More of the same, for (over) 3 hours... sheesh.
Strike three.
That was it for me, I didn't have the patience to wait for him to finish and went home.
The crowd was mixed from arsim to clubbers to 'classic' trancers, a chunk of people from the Yom Haatzmaut party they organized, but the crowd is no longer a collection of trance freaks and nutters but much more a group of people that go to the Twins parties because they are The Twins. The vibes from 1-2 years ago are all but gone. I hope this is just one huge mistake as far as this organizing crew is concerned, because this party was only 'decent' on an Israeli party level, while up until now even their worst parties were still considered top notch.

Goblin = Udi Shterenberg
Yoni = Yoni Oshrat
Both of them together known as Psysex but perform also as solo DJ's. Yoni played after Gabi
