Ok so I used to listen to a lot of Nexus Media & Timecode Records stuff around 6 years ago but my collection is gone and I'm sure like all the subgenres of psytrance there has been some stuff along these lines in the last year and a bit.

I saw on another forum that http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/tli/ was referred to as twilight, anybody know much about this label? I have heard the samples but still not sure. The covers & the AK47 logo kida turn me off a bit.

Any other tips? (I prefer to buy CDs than digital).

Cheers           Cuntus Maximus.

terror lab industries is definitely amongst the most active twilight labels out there - along side the likes of fractal records

their last release was the mammoth double cd compilation - night terrors - compiled by dj archive [manager @ mmd records]

other recommendations (some from 2010 inclued as well):

kode six - perfekt world [phonix records]
va - gaia energy [fractal records]
brainbokka - vortex implosion [geomagnetic records]
digital talk - audio extremists [hadra records]
va - synthetic alchemy [hypergate records]
va - arecibo chronicles vol 1 [fractal records]
va - sharp [3d vision]
va - tokoloshe tales [3d vision]
va - fractal energy 4 [fractal records]

as much as i hate to admit it, i think the days of physical cds are fast coming to an end...

alot of the older more established labels have gone completely digital, to name a few -
nexus media
3D vision [lost n found's decoder album was one of 3 physical releases they had released over the last 2 years]
MMD records

if your willing to embrace the digital revolution, id recommend checking out EPs released:
alienn - one [hypergate records]
karma crop - fractal overdrive remixes [hypergate records]
sidhartha - into immortality [hypergate records]
scorb - the remixes vol. 1 [trick music]
hyperactive - scape from illusion [fractal records]
rabdom l - the katalyst [nexus media]
rubix qube - saturate [mmd records]
orca - bedtime stories [mmd records]
geko - corrupted symphony [dropland records]
ex-gen - genetic users [3d vision]
absolum - co-lab part 1 [3d vision]

there have been alot of awesome releases but ill stop my rant for now

I found that twilight psy went the way of isratrance. it became to formulaic as a genre and all the artists sound the same now. An entire scene based of the sounds that shift and artifakt were making. Other subgenres are going through the same thing, like how these days, there are tons of people copying sensient and tetrameth, or evp.

I agree with many things sidra was saying. It came to the point where copy and past producers ruined the whole genre... same builds and breaks allover.
anyway good music is still around ... can also recommend to check out some russian artists such as Sulima, Manifold among others ... Also Antispin and Prism album should be out really soon

Maybe also check out what Timecode's Sublabel Sangoma is cooking... its not pure twilight trance but for sure some of the mayor influences ...

p.s Squirm Tokoloshe Tales was a Timecode release           www.sangomarecords.com

This forum never changes... Every year, "the genre is ruined.." But I agree, what I hear on di.fm lately is pathetic.. how they even call it trance?           The speed past light..
