So, there's this lead sound in this track, the main melody at 5:25, it seems really simple but i just can't get it when i try to tweak. I asked the guy about it but he wouldn't tell me, can anybody help ?

Theres nothing complicated there. You gotta get the notes first though, than you just gotta get the right sound.
I like to use Refx Vanguard for those type of melodies.

Just joking mate. Sorry I have nothing else to add.
Getting the notes is the hard part. Especially for me since I dont know much music theory.
But yeah that's it the rest is piece of cake.

I figured out the notes, i can play them with a string ensemble, i want to get the synth sound.

maybe he ddint want to tell you cause he had no clue lol, sound like one of the hundreds preset you will find in synths like sylenth 1, actually you will probably find a better sounding one in sylenth wihtout much trouble

Hello. There are some things to take into account:
- It sounds as two synths, maybe im confusing the low notes and the delay tail with another synth but it could be a 2 synht combo.
- Sounds like you avareage sawtooth + resonant cutoff envelope ala 303.
- You would have to create a solid melodic line like this before it actually sounds like that. These melodies are very similar to artists like Audiotec and Bubble (bubble and twilight know each other).
- It changes in harmony evey bar in a very common way using what it seems like a lot of dominants and subdominants resulting in 8 bar cheesy melody.
So well, yeah pretty much it... sawtooth + resonance + distortion + delay and little music theory 101 should get you there.
