I got some texts from the internet about tweaking windows xp for music production. After i finished the tweak (cant see a huge improvement though) i cant turn of my computer. When i press the button in the start menu, it shuts down the services BUT before shutting down it gives me a blue screen..
Any suggestions?

Well i did that
the problem is that I cant turn off my pc with windows shutdown. i need to hold the button on the box to turn it off
it gives me the blue screen just before shutdown so i cant shut it via windows
anything i can do except reinstalling windows?

i did that recently too if http://www.musicxp.net/tuning_tips.php is what ur talking about . On the whole my pc does seem to be faster , quick browsing and other general stuff seems waay better , cant say for music apps yet if its made any diffrence . no problems turning off my pc etc , i suggest u just backtrack and undo each option . or u may have messed up with editing your registry , try a registry restore / fixer prog maby ?

redo what you did, reload blocked services, expecially check the application you've installed as firewalls and antivirus. Undo changes and try *regseeker* for broken registry settings, you'll need the Win CD, but not to format, just load services or missing dll...
