I have been using Camstasia Suite. It records the screen at any size I select. It supports almost every codec I can think of for both video and audio streams. Then after export you have your raw. You can use the editing software to create key frames to zoom in on areas to show settings then export at the proper size for the web which is 640x480. I think the video quality of my videos is bad though atleast on youtube. I wish I could make them better for youtube. The raws always look fantastic but when I scale it down it looks bad. Its to be expected but I'm going to research a way to improve it.           http://www.youtube.com/user/trawhi (tutorials)

I'm going to give camstudio a try. It's open source. Open source projects tend to interest me and be noteworthy on occasion.

A problem in my videos:

I have a condensor mic that pics up EVERYTHING (studio projects c1) and my room isn't accoustically fit. I have PC noise. So I have to use an expander to reduce noise and then a compressor or leveler to bring my vocals up even. Waves x-noise totally screws it to hell. I don't know why it just does. I also think I need to pickup a dynamic or a more suitable condensor. A lot of condensors do just fine in enviroments similar to mine but mine doesnt, I can hear someone take a drag off a smoke in another room.

I'm glad to own a C1 because I know it'd be wonderful in the proper accoustic enviroment, but I am thinking I need to get a dynamic mic to increase the quality of these tutorials and of course my random sampling recording

or get a little mic that you can has a clip that you can put on your clothes, they are cheap...

i have one, its driven with a little amp on the string with a battery...

those Large diafragm condensers does really catch the sound...

try and put it closer to you and lower the sensitivity.. it might work better... if you dont have a gate to put on it

I have tried putting a noise gate on it but its kind of pointless. It totally messes up the sound and when I monitor myself I cant talk because I hear my words coming out differently and my mind tries to auto correct lols . I have a better method now. I set it right between my legs on a floor stand away from the computer monitor and I isolated the microphone cable from all my other cables/electronics.           http://www.youtube.com/user/trawhi (tutorials)

Dija! First, a MASSIVE thank you for the work you have put in for all of us, it's been really inspiring as I have been in a total rut lately-that rut is turning back into a groove thanks to you and Elad!

If I may be so bold, would it be possible to have a tut on using audio/automation clips in FL? When I use them it sounds like sweet FA and I know I must be overlooking something really obvious.
