IF you didn't come to Turaya, more fool you!
musically, one of the most interesting parties
that I have been to in the UK.....
sadly, there was a distinct lack of punters!
which is mainly due to unrealistic prices
iD-spiral mushroom garden was in full effect
and there were amazing sets from heads like..
OTT ... who was much better than last time
ABACUS ... who were a real suprise
and best of all SLACK BABA
some of the most original & eclectic electronic
music I have heard this year, and I don't think
he's even made a record yet... watch out!!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read the line-up of this event... Simply one of the most amazing ever (on the paper) !!
Too bad I was working this week..
But when you say "due to unrealistic prices" I think mainly due to lack of information outside UK... I got a mail with a link to Turaya website about 2 weeks before the event.. It was much too late to arrange something with my employer..
Really hope there will be more events like this in the future.. and working on something in France..
Did you spin records in France already, Morris ?

i agree mr morris,slack baba played the best dance music i've heard for ages(how do i get in touch with him,any links anyone??),ott was amazing,i was transfixed by his mixing in both his and hallucinogen in dub sets,it was a lovely gathering,the first turaya i'm told,as for the lack of people maybe many reasons;too soon or expensive after glade and the other preceding festis,the same day as womad,yes the ticket WAS expensive,these things happen,a great event anyway.... |

hmmm ... saw some pics of this festival and it looks blissfull....
unfortunately since i went to glade i couldnt make this one ...../
but next yr.... i will defiantely be there
