my first time to mexico/belize! im traveling for 3 weeks in october heading south from cancun... october 10, 11, 12, 13th i will be in playa del carmen, tres rios, tulum area... then south into belize to visit mayan ruins and several cayes.
any info on events happening during this time would be great...even small beach bars, clubs, festivals, whatever!
i can spin chillout/dub/idm or heavy psy set!

I have not been there in a while but in Playa del Carmen you might consider going to the Zulu Lounge (if its open still) which is a hotel/restaurant run by Javier Fux who has been in the electronic scene in Mexico since the very start. He even made a psy trance band called the Vatos Locos which was him and Nick Doof.
Also you might consider visiting these eco communities:

I am sure you will find some good connections there.
Anyways, I am sure some other people here in the forum will be able to give you much more updated information about the scene in that area. Its an awesome area. |
