hi all
i just saw and was surprised with the party of tsuyoshi one day in israel last yr.
we jap do respect what he is trying to do and his style but as far as i know his style is not quite psy-trance but acid tecno or deep house now like mark allen ( well they are pretty close by rrts).
he declared his style to no more goa psy-trance like used to but more experimantal and progressive. i understand his idea but i want to ask all of you ' did you really like his play last time? ' cuz most of us dont even want to go his party in tokyo...... honestly. |

he said no more trance but jap organizer ask him to play, so old goa minded ppl gather without doubt by hi legendary reconition. he has released under the name of joujouka and his mixed cd a few months ago. those sound only boring techno but stil in the section of trance even at the tower records. if you like israeli trance or melodic stuff, you get sucked like what he says above. |

If you attend to tsuyoshi suzuki's party you know what to expect, he never dealed with psy, this is nitzhonot (kinda) - i mean - not the crap we all know from barkan holymen etc but still - nitzhonot, fit your taste ppl.

well it might released only in tokyo. all acid techno like junkie xl or some amsterdam sounds.
he started his own two experimental labels last
oct. besides matsuri which is not working this moment at all. |

I lived in Tokyo for 6 years and saw him play heaps there - he was really good a few years ago and played wicked Psy Trance, but since I have been in Sydney and seen him play here, he was crap. I mean at the last party I was at here, he was playing an Underworld track that was on MTV 5 years ago?!!! Gil, a local Israeli was much better. Tsuyoshi is a class DJ, but don't expect him to play Psy Trance anymore. Bring on Infected Mushroom and Summer Dreaming! |

well I don't know what took ppl so long to see the direction Tsuyoshi is going into....He may be a good dj in terms of skills and building sets and so on....but he just gives me the creeps in terms of mood and energy and vibe of the music he plays. I remember his set at Solipse - it cleared the dancing area; it was nighttime, ppl were massively tripping on acid, shrooms, and what not, and here comes Tsuyoshi and plays a monstrous set of urban noises and industrial sounds at an open-air party...c'mon....this was simply not the place for such brutality.
Before that I heard him play at RTTS in London, it was the Quirk launch party for Quality Control...the music he played scared me even then. Bad, bad energy. |
