There is a very little chance that Tsuyoshi will play a non commercial set from the very simple reason that he gonna play in a very commercial party, where the only way he wont get tomatoes up his face is by playing very commercial music. I remind u that ppl that bring Tsuyoshi to Israel making very commercial events and he is expected to play this way. If Tsuyoshi would play in some of the underground parties we have here, then I guess he would play a different set, which unfortunately looks like a hallucination from where I stand - it won't happen.
In 1997, @ Israeli independence day, a party with Tsuyoshi and XDream was cancelled in Ramat Hasharon. Forum club in Beer Sheva did one of the best moves ever and brought them both to it's backyard to what has become one of the best parties in my life ever. Tsuyoshi played a totally insane set of breakbeat, and I didnt ever dance as I did that night since all my bones moved at once. After him XDream finished the job and all the 200 ppl that been there were moving as one till the sound was off.
That can't happen in today's Israel, sorry Guy.

But why u think that Tsuyoshi can't invite for an underground party in Isreal and play set of breakbeat ? |

It would cost the organizers alot of money to bring him to Israel. Underground party organizers don't have that kind of money.

Scraper is right, Guy. Underground parties of up to 500 ppl that don't take 120NIS at the door can't afford bringing someone that expensive. And in the psy trance field there are some killer foreign DJ's and acts that do the job great and are affordable, and then the price at the door can be reasonable and everyone has fun.
Oh btw, I guess that hypothetically speaking, if someone would do that... Probably the next day would pop up a thread:

Man i never read such a strange discussion.. do you all know how many albums/projects he was part of? how he worked in japan with Tokyo Tekno Tribe and later on founded Matsuri in UK, plus a whole load of collaborations and side-projects? who are you all to judge what he is doing right now? ok maybe he plays full-on commercial stuff but that's because people at the parties (mostly at least) are kids with no background and they wouldn't even understand the deep vibes of his selection. He simply doesn't want anymore to do incredibly eclectic mixes!! but thats cause there is no need, peopel wont understand now. If u heard him playing in 1996-1998 u would really bow to him when he pass on street and or show some fucking respect!! in some old parties he played some incredible material like some live mixes of koxbox and other magical tracks that almost no one has. Now he plays what people like in this crap trance age. If i were him i woudl do the same cause the crowd is so immature.. bha! |

Tsuyoshi is hit or miss. Sometimes he'll play funky electro techno type stuff, sometimes he'll play really mind expanding stuff, and sometimes you'd swear he as a clone of Dimitri D.K.N.
He's too unpredictable for me. And not in a good way. |

I remember when he was a big star. First time i heard him was in Colombia and he gave a hell of a show, his music was exellent to this time ( I think it was 1999).Nevertheless, his music gotten worse nowerdays and only a blissed memory stayed with his name.
