Here in Zagreb, Croatia - he also opened the set with voodoo people rmx!

And that was the best track of the set, later also some rock'n'roll trance, mostly very cheesy stuff.

We booked Tsyoshi in Macedonia and everyone was expecting from him to play elctro/house/techno/hardhouse tracks. But he started with Voodoo people and continued with tracks with guitars. He didn't bit-mix at all and he played very very "comercial tracks". Besides that, I have the full respect for the man. He is one of the greatest for me.
The thing is, if U book Tsyoshi Suzuki for his DJ name he will play full-on. If u book him like Numanoid he will play electro tracks. That's the whole thing. He wanted to keep his name to the psy-trance scene and start fresh on the electro scene with a diferent name.

now all you promoters and partyers know.

So it's your choice whether to book him or not.

Same thing every time. great artists come to Israel, but they have to give the crows what they want, and unfortunately we know what the Israeli crowd wants - "Gimme more of that same ol' repetitive sounds with some E and balloons please".

Sorry, but Israel, who was and is one of the main exporters of trance in the world (hell, it's probably out biggest export), has also helped turn the trance world into a boring one....

I thought one would expect we could do better.....(hint, take an example from Finland....and I'm not sure we need the crazy day/night/northern lights/sauna/vodka/forest mixture to make good music, do we? of course we don't, look at NTD, Tsabeat etc...)

Tusyoshi might be getting old, but it's us who turned him into what we see in the local parties...shame

aw man where did kowens go? i joined because i stumbled upon his lame infantile comments and limited vocab; like all he can say is "crap", and wanted to put my two cents in;

somebody said Tsuyoshi is a pioneer, and anybody that disagrees can probaly find another site to waste their time on? i think he is still very creative, he throws his distinctive styles in psy trance, it's almost hard to label it as such. i also think he's progressive because he's influenced by a wide range of music and is really expanding in electro.

also i think arsits start creating great work upon experience, there's so much that young djs lack (and certain young boys.. coughkowens)

and the many things i want to say to kowens but i may be wasting my time. why go to Tsuyoshi's parties if he hates him so much? huh? what a fricken narrow minded coward. i hope him and loser ho stays out of creative way, people like that really can be destructive. next time read the user agreement on this site before saying nasty comments, ya.
love to all and let music unite!

Krelm..I agree with you, I shouldnt have started out the response like that, I apologize for that statement, I should have just stated that I am bias. anyway the topic was about his DJ skills, which i still think are total crap, and I am entitled to say that.

I think you mix up things a bit here. His DJ skills are excelent. He's one of the best if not THE best technical Dj in this scene!

There's a huge different in skill and what music style he's playing!
You migth not like what he play but to say that his DJ skills are crap just show me that you haven't understood the difference between skills and taste!

Now on the other hand you migth find Goa Gil's music taste very good (just an example I dont know if you like his taste or not) but you can hardly say that the man has any DJ skills. He's a terrible technical DJ!

Zombi golden words . He knows we sucks fullon land and we know that he sucks when comes here . So let's not ask him to come .

X-Dream have a power to play not so mainstream of Israel and many accept them here .

Maybe if more of you in Israel would be more openminded to other music styles than your Full On then he might would play more variated and interesting. But as long you risk getting rotten tomatoes in your face if you dare to play anyting beside Full On Ican easily understand that he play what he play when he visit Israel. Maybe you and your organisers need to change attitude about alternative music and not Tsyoshi!

Debatable. Some say GoGill mixes that way on purpose. So maybe even DJ skills, like music choice, are a matter of taste.

Good post.. Because I was wondering : why do the organizers not chat with him about the style they expect him to play (I mean psytrance or joujouka-oriented stuff) before the party..

It seems to be obvious to me..           .
