I haven´t heared Tsuyoshi playing for a long time either, but I remember very well, when people where falling on their knees and kissing his feet after his set.
To say that his DJ abilities are crap, is just a joke. He might be having a hard time (remember somebody stole his girlfriend) and there are other reasons (crowd expectations, pie in the face, etc. as mentioned before) for why he is playing what he is playing.
kowens, I agree with Nomolos, you went very low, too low.
If I was the "stolen" girlfriend and read your posts here, I wouldn't live with you much longer.
And dimitri is much more funny than you.

thats not true. i've seen him in the ZOOM festival, switzerland in august, and he played fullon as well. but, the problem wasnt the fullon (fullon can be nice ) but he played the worst fullon ever. he started his set with "Voodoo People Remix" and continued his set with any rock remix possible. i was so looking forward to see the man playing his wicked set...but i was so dissappointed a dead hero...but we cant complain, man does what he wants. cheers R.

For me it wasn´t in continuation of anything. I'm not usually into bragging about DJs and their abilities, espescially not if I haven't heard them play for a while.
I only saw your comments last night and since they really pissed me off I felt I had to say something to it.
I sort of said something to the topic as well, if you'd bother to read.
I can only speak of memories of Tsuyoshi's sets and they are great.
I think you can't call his DJ abilities crap.
I agree, that it can be problematic to try and please the crowd, by playing a style you think they expect, because you might disappoint others, who have different expectations. So maybe Tsuyoshi has to find his very own style again and stick to it.
peace

hum in fact i see this in a simple way.. a good dj plays for the ppl... change the ppl.. and the good dj changes.. if you dont like full on or full on crap.. dont go to commercial big parties and so on..
and the most part of you that talk so bad.. get a life.. try to do better.. try to gain your life from playing at parties..
by the way realy enjoyed hes music on nano comp.. wind up.. dont looks like commercial trance for me..
so chill out ppl.. you here allmost of the time.. look like the old ladies that just talk bad about everithing.. allways complain etc etc..
my opinion.. stay well..

I saw tsuyoshi played many, many times:
normally he does very good set, with very good technics, and the people are dancing.
...but I never ever dance on one of his set !!!!....he just plays the exact opposite of the sounds I like !!!too much electro !!
but I respect him and what he does for the quality and the peoples that like his stuff |

Tsuyoshi was indeed a pioneer, a dj and producer from very early on, and he deserves respect just because of that.
If is music is too 'mature' for us, and results in us throwing things at him, or his styles are too eclectic, then what does that say about us? Are we that so stuck in a niche of sound that we cannot relate to other styles, and become aggressive about it?
To be fair I might not like his new style, but I will listen to it to see if I can understand where he's comeing from. |

So , I see that Tsuyoshi even don't change the order of the tracks on his sets ...
I heard him 3 times in 2004 and every time he opened with Voodoo People Remix and keep with some remix of Skazi , Beat Hackers and more . . .
Mr. Suzuki u need to back to basics
