Well, let me "try" and tell you what happened last weekend in NY (although no words can describe):
Line-up:
Talamasca (live)
Atomic Pulse (live)
Location - Estate (beautiful place, with a great sound system)

The actual party:
1) Atomic pulse didn’t show up, and instead we got spacecat (not that there is anything wrong with that).

2) The party was moved from the estate into club shelter. Club shelter is known as THE worst club in NYC!!! But the tsunami people did not care.

3) THERE WAS NO SOUND SYSTEM! I know you must be thinking to yourselves, "What does he mean no sound?" So to explain what I mean, try this: go home, and turn your stereo system as loud as you can ( with distrotion). now, take that "loud" volume, and put it in a club. That is about the volume and quality we had in that party (and I am not exaggerating). Never in my life have I heard a sound system that bad (or that low, for this matter).

4) The opening DJ did not have any idea how to mix or even know what trance is. he kept switching from minimal-to-techno- to -progressive - to - full on - to - techno - to minimal - to - full on........ You people have no idea how bad it was. Finally I went up to him and ask him how much is he getting paid - and he said it was for free. I guess the tsunami people will do everything they can to avoid paying a good DJ, and would rather kill the party with a bad-free-DJ.

5) The people that were there were half gangsters, and half punks. The atmosphere that was going on in that place was shit!! The people were so ugly and scary!

6) Above all the shit that went on that night, cops came at 4:00am! And closed the party!!!!!!!! They claimed that the club sold drinks after 4am (NY state law prohibits the selling of alcohol after 4am). So after all the shit that was going on over there, cops came and closed it.

7) The place had no air conditioning. Everybody was sweating and it smelled like shit. (Did you ever go to a party that had no air-conditioning? So you know what I mean)

8) There was only one small bar for the entire place! So at any given time, there were at least 25 people waiting in line to get some freaking water! Imagine the waiting time.

9) Cedric, who came all the way from France for this stupid party, and I came all the way from Queens to hear him -- never played!!!

10) It was a total catastrophe!!!

I think Cedric is a part of this forum, so I would like to hear from him his comments.

I just farted ;-)

this is such a shame...I think Tsunami NY should stop making these parties...this kind of bad productions do a lot of dammage to the psy scene IMO...3 years ago they were good...but now they lost it...it's time for some fresh organizers to step in and bring back the good parties to NY...boom

yes, i was at the party also. it is really a shame what happned over there. but it is true what bomba said.

100% true! could not agree more with the review about tsunami's "black friday".
the degrading way tsunami and
home of trance(now working under different names: global trance and dawn) treat trance music and people in new york has reached new limits.

the privat parties that me and my friends do much better then this.........

but to bring a dj that dont have a clue about trance????????

and to bring a sucky sound system??????

Detox- you are not right, NY is THE place for psy trance.
you just need to know what partys not to go to. There is a big community in NY.

I agree with gail. there's a big and strong trance community in N.Y.C!
rumours spining about a new, totally independent productions team in the city (psy trance mission). hopefully it's a begening of a new age in a very important time and era.

gail and simon friendly artists of mine that have been to New York both for Tsunami and Synthetic Sadhus have told me that parties are not going so good there.Usually the organisers do many mistakes and the crowd is not the best.

I am just stating what i know,i live much time in New York but never been to a party there.
