hi there,
im trying to understand a certain sound.
if anyone has heard the 'sub-states' track by protoculture. its a lead that accompanies the bassline from the moment the bass kicks in.
i can hear there is at least two different synth lines, but what im trying to understand is how to get that chorussy thickness that makes the synthline pump.
it seems so prominent in the higher freqs without losing its strength, like whenever you filter a sound up higher in freqs .
if someone could help me getting a grasp on this sound it would be very helpful expanding my knowledge of synthesis.
hope someone can help.

mate it sounds like maybe 2 oscilators, one is saw and other maybe a sine to get the thumpiness in there,id say the trick here is using lfo to tighten and loosen the 2 osc
it seems 2 have a auto pan and maybe a light chorous!!
u can make any sound more prominent in a particular freq with smart use of a eq!!
hope this helps mate!!
by the way were in oz do u live,do u have any tracks i could listen 2 yet?? |
