Tryambaka - Replenishing Roots (One Foot Groove)
“Replenishing Roots†is Tryambaka’s (aka Tiago Pimentel from Portugal) 2nd album and contains collaborations with the biggest names in psychedelic trance ie Shiva, Menog, Rastaliens, Artifakt, Elixir and Cosmosis. The cover art represents what can be found within, a dark mysterious tangle of hard roots and colourful textures. The fascinating tapestry of dark hues and interesting sounds had me bopping and stomping within minutes. Tiago successfully explores the twisted mind of SAW with the illuminating track, “I saw your sawâ€, scary in it’s beauty. “Acid Trip†by Menog had me wavering between running through the woods naked or hiding under the bed. The track by Rastaliens is very sharp and if you don’t dance you will be smacked over the knuckles, no messing around. Any album that contains the mastery, touch of and influence of Artifakt carries a lot of weight with me and “Sex and Death†was no disappointment as it made my hair stand on end. Highly recommended.
