hey
im seeing more and more threads here on isra where give tips and stuff about warezed audio software.
how many of you have original audio software?
dont get me wrong, i dont want to say that i think its wrong to used warezed software if you dont have the money to buy it. i just had that thought and wantet to know how many of you who got the originals?
Because i see alot of ppl flaming about djs who play downloadet illegal mp3s, and i realy think thats the same as using warezed software.

A lot of people use warez,mostly because of the prices.Not every 15 year old kid can afford Cubase...yes,you can try the demo version but again,Cubase (for example) don't got it!In a perfect world we'll be all using legit soft but many's people aproach is:"If I'll make it(not financily),I'll buy it".

This is a very important subject. I think it's acceptable to use cracked software if you just want to try it or you just make some music for fun (and you don't have much money). But there are many artists who make a lot of money with their music and still use cracks. This is asshole behaviour!
Many audio software companies are in a very bad financial situation and lots of people lost their jobs already. Please keep this in mind when you use cracks!!! |

100% agree with you InnerAlchemy!
After having "trying" many softs now I'm able to pay for them little by little when I got money from gigs/music.
Last (very nice) soft I bought is the "Microtonic" and I felt about Magnus (the creator) very glad that I paid for it!
As an artist,I'd be NOTHING without a crowd to dance on the dancefloor and all the great people whom spend all their spare time to create those great softwares.
I also encourage anyone to make small donations via Paypal to the creators of any small free plugs-ins when you like them very much (next winner to me: MG for the "trigger gate"!!!)
If everyone interrested in those plugs would be kind enough to offer at least 2-3 bucks to them they'd be soooo grateful I'm sure!
It's the way I like to show how deep I liked their work =)
Props to them and fuck to people whom are making money without redistributing at least a Dollar to the originators.

i totaly agree too
there is some realy hard working dudes out there making free awsome plugins.
another great thing is that some of them dont put a price on ther software.. they say that you can deside the price for your self and donate the money throug paypal.. thats a great idea!

started out on cracked version of cubase, reason, live etc
as my sounds got better & some money came in i decided that if i wanted to go pro i HAD to buy Logic
cracked software ALWAYS crashes at some point & if an organizer is paying me to play & good people are paying to get into the party to dance it would be irresponsible & dishonest to run the risk of it all going wrong
so for the moment i got legal Logic & as more gigs come in i am slowly replacing my cracks with bought software
also the amount of time i was spending on the net to find the cracks made the cracks more expensive then the original programs!!!
time=energy=money
but i think it ok to use cracked versions to get your head around a program & see if you really like it
