i was trying to connect my two monitors, both active, to the mixer(behringer vmx200)
with 2xmonoRCA-1x1`4 female, a plug this adptor at the main out at the mixer, and then comes with a 1x1`8stereo to 2x1`4mono, i plug the 1`8 on the 1`4female with an adpter, and then plug both 1`4mono on both monitor inputs. But just when monitor plays, the one that has the gray plug(tip). The one that has the red plug(ring) always dos a very distant sound that you can barely hear, but can notice that is the track.
I know it is not a cable of monitor problem because i tested it plugin the 1`8 on the output of the laptop, and it plays music just fine. Also when a plug the 1`8 with an adpter on the phones output of the mixer it plays just fine. I think it can be maybe some problem with the RCA to 1`4 adapter, but i dont have a clue.

are you sure its not noise from the mixer itself? Behringer mixes are known for having noisy circuits.
Try using another pair of cables so that you can isolate the cable being at fault.

ye, i dont think it is noise from the mixer, you can hear that is the music, but very distant. Also i dont think is the cable or monitor, if i use the same monitor with same cable and plug in my laptop it plays just fine
