Sorry to be a party pooper, but really, these are awful
Are these Apophysis? they look like something script generated without any care to tweak the parameters and make them look 'clean'
The biggest complaint among fractalists is when people make something random and think it's nice without actually taking the care and attention to tweak a few parameters and make something to be proud of, rather than this kind of blurry result
I don't want to come across as harsh, but really... make more of an effort. I found it rather insulting that you thought these were wallpaper material |

There is some Apophysis, but it's mostly photoshopped. And where exactly did I say you have to like them?  I like them and share them.
Plus, I'm not a fractalist, I just make some stuff in my free time. And I like my wallpapers to be clean in the sides.
And, it is really sad, that you find art to be insulting.

I could run a batch script in Apophysis and make 100 images just like that
The flower script has been about for a while
What I was trying to say is... learn to tweak the parameters a bit, change the weight of the triangles, see what different variations do rather than just shove this in people's faces and call it art
And since it's obvious you ran someones script, how can you say it's your art without a mention to the person who actually made it with their script?
It is far from ART

Actually it's noone's script, just playing around in Apophysis. And the original image was not a "flower", I made it that way in PS.
Art is different for everybody. It's not necessary to be the best, so ppl call your work art. Art is anything a man creates.

Maybe I was too quick to judge, but if you run Liz's flower script - it produces almost exactly what you have here.
She's had alot of grief recently on Deviant Art with people just running the script and rendering it without actually getting the idea that things needs to be tweaked a bit.
If you're happy with those wallpapers, fine. Good for you. I just hope you begin to understand Apophysis a bit more with time. It's not the easiest of programs to work with and there aren't many tutorials that make sense.
Some of us are busy writing tutorials now for the 3Dhack version, so I hope you will be interested to pursue Apophysis more. You'll be very surprised at what can be achieved with a bit more twiddling of parameters, but like I said, it's a very difficult program to work with and there certainly needs to be more comprehensive tutorials out there. |

Definately not an easy program, and I love the 3dhack version, just don't have the time needed to tweak so much...
Maybe I'll find some spare time to play with it in the future.
