Bounce all the sounds you make from every track you make and build your own sample library.

Use some logic for the naming: for example:
FX ultra ray blaster A 136
LD dist 303 ADE 145 rvb
LD dist 303 ADE 135 dry
PRC hihatloop 130 -09

That way you create your own sound and you can easily reach back to sounds you liked and continue with those by adding new effects or easily change the pitch to match the track you are working in.           soundcloud.com/supergroover

Putting synths through the Moog MF-102 Ring Mod, tune the frequency of the ring mod (you have to do it by ear) and whatever dissonant modulation madness goes in the input, it ring modulated and has a distinct tuned imprint from the MF-102, then route the output of the Moog MF-102 into the input of the Moog MF-103 Phaser and routing the LFO output of the Moog MF-102 Ring Mod into the Sweep IN of the Moog MF-103, switch to 12 stage mode and get this brilliant 3D bi-phasing on the output that makes the sound swirl further from where the speakers are placed (no significant phase cancellation either). Sounds brilliant, especially on headphones and PAs where the sound is like its coming to your from all over the place.

Any tips for cool things to put into the Carrier In on the MF-102?

Not sure exactly what this is doing, but when I'm patching the MS-20 into the MF-102 I will sometimes patch the KBD CV OUT into the Carrier In and that seems to thicken the sound up a bit, but its pretty subtle.

Also, sample and hold on the MF-102 FREQ is pretty awesome.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

I like to play the notes and rhythm of just about every melody with the guitar, and also think about the music concept in regards to musical theory and progressions. So in the beginning before making a single noise I might know I want the tune to start in a Blues minor and ending with a Hungarian minor, passing through a Dorian in the way, and I'll work within those constraints to obtain the final result and make the ideas happen.

uhbik-f on the upper bass layer. i find it gives a really nice, wide fat sound to the bass, but it requires extended tweaking to make the movement not too obvious

Personal tricks i keep but i can give few more common ones;

- Add bbe sonic maximizer or uad pultec/waves puigtec after compressor-> it brings back the low and the high end what compression is eating.
- Add delay to send reverb, in order reverb-delay, that way you have more control on reverb tail.
- Add compressor to send delay to have more control to delay tail.
- Create few different send compressors with opposite way of settings (opposite attack and release times) and use them in parallel. Just add them as other send effects to make it sound right.

Yeah i know i love parallel/send effects, no can do

On cubase: hit F5 and listen to effectssamples through the media bay (I think that is what it is called). Make sure you have the stretch to tempo button on. Now effects sound really different because their tempo is stretched.           soundcloud.com/supergroover
