Trick or Tekno at Kimbercote Farms
Come join us for one last peaceful retreat away from the hectic city life before the cold weather sets in. Enjoy the warmth of the fire, techy sounds in the barn and the psychadelic experience of goa in our huge yurt. (for pics of our yurt, see the gallery page). Located in the beautiful Niagara Escarpment between Kimberly and Heathcote Ontario (just west of Collingwood), Kimbercote is a progressive community and not-for-profit retreat facility committed to social & environmental justice. This event is a community fundraiser to help make the freespace collective bus road-worthy and ready for use. The full-sized school bus (TeknoTank!) will be used for many freetekno events, street parties, parades, festivals, road trips, OMs and such in the years to come. We plan to take our soundsystem on the road and see the world while sharing the vibe with others.
Shuttle correction: the $15 advance uberticket includes your busride from toronto and access to the party as well. Those of you taking the shuttle from toronto will get to be first on the teknotank in action, before the conversion to RV/mobile soundsystem. It will be a work in progress for a bit but when it's out in full force you'll know it

There will be 2 soundstages , one in the spooky kimbercote barn and another in the freespace yurt. Both will be heated (yay propane!)

$10 advance, $15 at the gate. Free parking (save gas! please carpool). Tickets from 2TheBeat (queen + spadina, southeast corner) and Outer Space records (Yonge & Bloor, beside burger king)
::Location::
Just west of Collingwood, 2 hours north of Toronto. Go to http://www.kimbercote.org/map.html for a map of the area.
There will be shuttlebus service availible. A $15 uberticket gets you a ride AND a seat on the bus. Bus leaves from Sheppard station at 8 PM on saturday nov 1. |
