yeah, would love to hear more of this sound coming out. been listening to alot of those old tracks from that era. dark, psychedelic, and progressive. best of each world.

Triac's album is very enjoyable... but I don't see what the confusion is - this slides nicely into the techtrance category. Not all techtrance has to be pure bang - it can also have a smoother side as this does... quality work, I must say!

I thought it was ok at first, but after a few real listens its bloomed in my eyes. Its one of the best cds in the progressive section of my cd case! Really captures the techno atmosphere.
favorites: trk 2, 6!!
Sometimes it seems to me that people put too much importance on originality, when just doing it well IMO is much more important! Its not like they're actually copying other peoples songs.

Well it's not like you're gonna find other people saying "Yeah, I'm into 'Tech-Dark-Progressive-Minimal-Psytrance', so why classify it so specifically?
Mean Between is a good album, regardless of its classification. I'm not really sure about the dark-ish aspect of it because it kind of ruins the idea of "progressive" trance for me..but I do like the techy-ness..good to hear, refreshing for everybody.
Anyway nice thread..I think these guys need/deserve a bit of discussion.. |

And as I listen to the album after replying to this, I'm hearing a lot of emotional type sounding chord progressions in the music, it's like its going on and off dark>bright or something..
So nonetheless I agree, interesting album.. |
