The Date Has been set for one of the most expected tech/minimal albums of the year
Mr Anders "im so hip i dont even need to renew my web domain" Trentemøller will be releasing his debut album "The Last Resort" the 6th oct on steve bugs german PokerFlat Recordings..
Trentemøller has already released a sneak peak from his album with the ep Nam Nam
but the official first single "Allways Something Better" will be released in sep
The Danish house Producer has over the last couple of years enjoy'd a huge amount of respect and hype with a line of 12"s and remixes among Royksopp,Pet Shop Boys,The Knife
Trentemøller has in return of the huge demand for him tour'd all over world
The Debut album will present a more Down Tempo vibe..
Allthoug the main man him self plays guitar, bas, glockenspiel melodika on the recordings and he gets help from Ane Trolle (vocal), Henrik Vibskov (drums), Mikael Simpson (bass & guitar) og Thomas 'DJ T.O.M.' Bertelsen (scratch).
Trentemøller continues his work with mikael simpson among this
they have promised a joint release in the near future and trentemøller will be with Miakel Simpson on his promotion tour for his album 'Stille og uroligt' in sep

ive just recently heard of trentmoller....
I got to say this is one of the most interesting producers out there, even though he does not make trance.
Just crystal clear production with dirt in the right places....
will be getting this album for sure.. |

Big disapointment.
About the dancefloor and minimal tracks, I found here the traditional and overused Trentemoller's formula which lead me to think that he can reproduce only the same patern with the same sounds.
Sometime it's really slow psychedelic trance to my ears.
But also here, he's trying electronica and "free" music like many electro artists those days who're trying something else than dancefloor tunes.
But my feeling is that he failed to produce something fresh and what i hear sounds like an new-old-school trance goa chillout cd. For sure very well produced but I can't stand the atmospheres created : something too polite or too condescending like if he wanted to please everyone with the electronica atmospheres of the moment. That's why i put "free" and think it's not free at all.
Even if i'm dispointed, i'm not surprised.
I have to reconize that some tracks have good moments but nothing i can't forget.
Opinion is something between knowledge and ignorance. |

I don't mind that dancefloor artists produce more personnal music for an album. I mean by "more personnal" the fact that DanceMusic has some rules and formula you can't escape to make people... dance (that's the purpose hehe).
Even if i like some of his dancefloor tunes (but a bit always the same), i'm still thinking that Trentemoller failed on this challenge or at least, i just don't dig it.
