trekking near bangalore... any scenes???

Now that the party scene is so canned out here, i'd rather do some other scenes.. can you'll tell me places near bangalore where i can go out trekking??? just shanti scenes... |

check out nagarahole forests..
like 2 hrs from mysore.. not proper trekking but the place is super shaanti!
u can always head to kabini, bandipur etc too! |

Bandipur has a lot of resorts to stay and they all provide u with trekking and camping facilities..
Jog falls is another shanti place to go to..

Sivagange is damn shanti and a nice trek to the top to get to the little temple.
Also go past Kanakpura towards Cauvery river, there are a bunch places you can trek at along side the river, lots of fishing camps are also out there. Just follow the road signs that point towards the fishing camps, had lots of killer scenes around there

i have been to banglore once, there is a short trek in a place called "kalverbeta" (hope the spelling is right) should go there in the night in the monsoon season and make it up before sunrise. you will be above the layer of cloud. Worth a climb.
Ahead of nandi hills - (all locals should be able to guide you)
climb time is 2-1/2 to 3 hours at decent speed

yercaud and dharmapuri are worth a trip...there is a one day trek and plus you can camp out there.
