Any idea how I would recreate it? I've been wracking my brain and can't figure it out. Obviously pitch changes over time, in steps? Dunno. Thoughts?

Actually I'd quite like to know just for the sake of knowing! It is a cool sound

Maybe we could have a competition to see who can get the closest.

I'd guess a step filter in involved somewhere?

I seem to have a memory of reading about how to do it in some old old old edition of Future Music. But I may be imagining that.

Yeah, a step filter is probably involved, I bet. Saw waveform perhaps? Hm...

Experimentation. I will report my findings.

two saws, one octave apart tuning and some cents, resonant high pass, start sweeping from high going low on the trigger of each note, slight phaser, play the low notes. job done.
Failing that, just sample it innit.

Yeah, figured I could find the sample. Thought it might be more useful to figure out how to make a good fascimile of it though, then go from there on variations. Appreciate the sample if you have it though.
