Just a bit of salt:

I went to the chapada on this weekend and it is A-MA-ZING. The sky is so blue and vast and beautiful that I believe it's the most beautiful sky on earth. The rivers are so clean and the water so fresh that it looks like it was DESIGNED for a trance festival. The spiritual presence in that place is gigantic. Trust me, it's PURE magic!           cna't find it

False alarm.

Decided not to come to the festival after all. Found out it will cost me way too much money to get to Brazil, get to the festival, and the festival itself, come back to Bolivia and continue travelling.

Maybe I will come to some other festival later this year, like Earthdance.

Sorry. Wanted to meet you guys.           Please REMOVE my cellphone number from any SMS spam list you may have. Thanks.

Hi people! I might be coming to the festival because I found a bargain flight to Sao Paulo, but isn't it too far away from Brasilia?? What's the best way to get to the party from Sao Paulo?? Thanx in advance...

My review:
First of all I´d like to say that I really enjoyed this party...

I arrived at the Festival on the wednesday, 9 july, around 6:00pm. There was too much dust on the road, but the road was good...
Just set up my tend (with my friends) and walked around remembering last year´s Trancendence... It was the same place, but now with much more infra-structure...
Great Place!!! Great Vibes!!! The best Infra-Structure I´ve ever seen!!! The sound system was very good and potent!!! The deco was nice too, behind the DJ there was a psychedelic painting (IMO) somehow connected to the Solar Flares symbol, that resembled peacock feathers when the DJ was at the right spot, and also seemed like a big ventilator, absorbing the vibes from the dancefloor...
Danced a lot on this first night, but I was not liking the DJs music choice at all, and those DJs just let too much bass... Still I danced and had a very good time!

On the second day I went to see the surise at the dancefloor (the sunrise at THAT spot is really amazing) and short after it I meet some old time good friends and we went to a waterfall near the dancefloor, there was nobody there and the water was still hot (you know, from 5:00am to 6:30am the water at the waterfalls are hot), great moment!
I went to 3 different waterfalls on this second day...

At the third day (friday) I went to the dancefloor at morning again, danced for two or three hours, talked to some friends, eat some açaí and went to another waterfall with some friends...
I started to notice that I was getting sick (I got something like this fu%king asian influenza)... More friends arrived at night... This was a very good night, my young brother played malabares with fire inside that bamboo sphere at the dancefloor...

I woke up saturday with a strong cold, really got the influenza... So, around 6:30am I took some very strong anti-inflamatory (Celebra) and went to the dancefloor, were I saw the Shanti DJ set, very good set finally he took off the bass and I could hear the sound clearer...
After him, I saw the Bamboo Forest live act: groovy morning sounds, Breath and Backspace being my favorites, but they just don´t played Step by Step while I was there... I spent the rest of the day on shadows, trying to recover from the influenza, but already knowing that this could be my last day there...

Sunday I woke up very bad, really sick. I went to the dancefloor to meet some friends, take some pics and dance a little, but I was not really in conditions of standing the afternoon sun... So I went out of the party with some friends that where already going... This was around 11:00am, so I missed the long waited Hallucinogen live PA and the Simon Postford DJ set... Please someone review it...

Strong Points:
- No trash on the ground, lots of big trash cans everywhere and lots of people gathering the trash on the ground.
- Best infra-structure I´ve ever seen. You could buy anything there (I´m not talking about drugs). Sunblocker, electric batteries, lanterns, candy, garment, different kinds of food, drinks, coffee (i´m a cafeine addicted ), etc.
- Very powerfull soundsystem, you could hear the sound at the waterfall and tell what track was being played!
- The Chill Out deco and sound was very, very good!!! Different sounds every ten minutes, good quality sound system, great place!
- Best friends all around...

Weak Points (IMO):
- The line-up schedule was not followed at all! I just couldn´t know for sure who was playing... I know it´s difficult to set up fixed schedule for a great festival, but still I think it´s not fair to place a wrong schedule...
- The DJs just didn´t played the tracks I like the must!!! I was anxious to hear some Triptych, Melicia, Beat Hackers, Psycraft, Psysex, Dynamic, Fatali, Eskimo, Sub 6, Sesto Sento, Talamasca, Cosma, Scorb, Psydrop, Hujaboy, Penta, Gataka, Intergalactic, etc... They played some tracks from some of these artists, but always the same tracks!!! I know it´s for sure a matter of taste, I´m just expressing my humble opinion...
- And I just don´t liked those pretty girls that were throwing their trash on the dancefloor... What about education? All that empty words about trance, energy, mind, respect, nature, love and union... Beautiful people with vacuum philosophy... As written on the chill out: "Think Globaly, act locally".
Time to change and show your attitude: please throw your garbage on the trash can.

Most played songs (as far as I heard):
GMS vs Space Tribe - 3rd Eye, GMS vs D Tek - Los Dorados (the original and the remix), Dino Psaras - Thank you for calling, Skazi - Fire on Ice (Eskimo remix). Each of these songs were played around 3 times per day (a waste of time, IMO)... On the first two days they played Dynamic - DJ on Pills 5 times...

Best DJs (IMO):
I believe the best DJ sets were by Shanti and MACK.
Shanti made a great morning set and MACK made a killer sunset set...
Du Serena also made a well mixed set.
Some other Djs (specially on the two first days) just forgot that there was a mixer in front of them...

Overall party score: 9/10
One of the three best parties I´ve ever been (Trancendence 2002 was one of the best too  ). Middle of the nature, great infra structure, pretty girls, powerfull sound system, astonishing Line-up, amazing vibes...
As usual, I went through this Festival dancing as much as I could and without drugs (only ). Just met some good old friends and had some of the best moments of my life...

Solar Flares rocks!!! Hope we´ll have the Trancendence 2004!

Please post more reviews, photos and movies of the party!!!
Respect!

The true is: I only heard Brain XL and Bamboo Forest live acts on the dancefloor. These two lives were really good, Brain XL surprised me, high quality sounds, very nice to dance while listening their live, and a discret guitar noise that appeared every 10 minutes... Professional stuff.
Bamboo Forest live, as I already said, was good, they played some remixed tracks from their last album (Random Future) and some newer tracks like Backspace, Breath, Osiris, Cartune... Just missed Step by Step... Very groovy live act, I enjoyed it.
I also heard the Antidote live which was not my cup of tea, so I went to have some rest and more açai with double granola dosage .
Soundaholix & GMS live I heard at my tend, I like GMS, but it was not really impressive or different from all other GMS lives IMO. Dimitri Nakov DJ set, played right after the Soundaholix & GMS live was better and different, much more on my style. He also did a great DJ set.
I missed Space Cat live (which I wanted to hear), Burn in Noise live (I wanted to hear this one too), Hallucinogen live (obviously I wanted to heard this one ).
Also missed Parasense, Wrecked Machines, Mukunga Umbura and Skulptor lives... It´s impossible to see all the live acts and DJ sets in such a festival, because you´d have to "take pills and stay awake for seven days..." and even in this case you´ll miss all the wonderfull sounds at the Chill Out. So, I had to make my choices, and I choose to go drug free and to sleep at night...
Respect!
