MissMuppet, hiring a car is a good option, but please make sure your driving license is valid here.

I went to Pirinópolis by bus and it's not that bad, just that carrying all the stuff with you all the time is not that good.

If I'm at Brasília maybe we can meet and go together (If I manage to go).
Please let's continue this kind of conversation in PM.

yup im pretty sure it is, ive had a full license for over 6 years now, so not a problem!

sweeeeeeeeet

we dont want to get stuck as we only have 5 days in the area, thats why we would prefer to have our own car than get the bus!

ok, so ive booked a flight to Brasilia and we are planning on hiring a car in Brasilia and driving out to the party ... how does that sound for those that live there???

First answering the question of ur previous post, yes, there'll be places to swim at the party. The location is full of rivers and waterfalls, cold water on hot days. Sounds nice, huh?

Ok. I'm from brasilia, and actually it doesn't sound too good for me. The idea of hiring a car is kinda complicated. First of all, the road to Perinopolis (The party spot) is not in good conditions. Adding to this, it's not as easy as it may sound to go from the airport to the road, imo. Not lots of people here speak english, so it would be a little bit hard to ask for information after you leave the airport. Imagine if you get lost on the road, or on the city. You could lose precious time.

My advice is: Get in contact with the organization thru their e-mail, tell them what are your plans, and i'm sure they'll know the best thing for you.
I know that you guys are going to stay just a few days, but the attractions near the party spot are, well... near! And it would be easier if you get vans, or maybe tourism guides to take you thru the whole area.
Anyway, it's just my opinion.
Don't forget to get in contact with the org of the party. I'm almost sure that they can provide you transportation from the airport to the party, and for near beautiful places.

Good Luck

Thanks for that, i speak a little portuguese, so thats OK, its mainly not wanting to get stuck at the party site when we need to leave, ill contact the pronotors and see what they think, if there will be transport available from the party site to perinopolis where we can get the bus!
