i wonder how many people live in your countries???? and out of that how many are part of the trance "scene"????
i think in Israel there are around 6,500,000 people(Israeli's) and i would say50,000- 70,000 that listen to trance so around the 1%(prob' no.1 in the world) and i think the lowest would be India with close to 1 billion people and only a couple thousand "trancers"

p.s i might be off but i think its more or less it...any one has other numbers???

India sure has more than a couple of thousand trancers..........
i agree psy is not very big in india but it definitely has more than a couple of thousand
also it is catching up in india and more people are joining the trance wave!
dont know exactly how much india has but if i had to make a guess it wud be around 10000-15000
the lowest % wud be in the african countries of the countries from the middle east

i am thinking of countries which take part in this forum!!! ofcourse there are countries with NO trance what so ever.
and Stashbag i hope your better than me with math' but even 15,000 out of a billion is....very little

Are you sure there are only 50000-70000 trancers in Israel? So many great artists come from Israel and when I was in Goa this year half the tourists seemed to be from Israel! |

In New-Zealand, locals are sure Israel is at least as big as the UK or Germany because of the amount of backpackers. Israelis just travel a lot.

To be honest, there is only me and my mates (3) of them who actually listens to psy. I am serious. There are 330,000 people living here. It's a small place here and if there is psy around here, it can be known pretty fast but sadly it doesnt exist here.We do not have psyshops here, neither do my neighbouring countries. Everything has to be bought online. I introduced psy to my mates, some like it some dont. Its safe to say, over here, its only 3 out of 330,000 which is 0.00091%. Majority only listens to pop, r&b, techno,club trance and etc. I can roughly guess, in my region, "South East Asia" which includes Vietnam,Singapore,Malaysia,Cambodia,Phillipines,Indonesia, Brunei (My country) and Thailand. Out of 140,000 million ppl, only hundreds or maybe 1000's listen to psy. There isnt a psy scene in this region at all which is sad. I am gona try and introduce it one day to more ppl once i get my hands on the cdjs i am getting in june. Hopefully more people will listen, i really hope so. Hear from me one day |

I have to order everything online too. Once the recordshops dealt Tantrance, Pulse, Goa-Head and Distance to Goa cd's, but not anymore. It all vanished, so I have to order everything nowadays. I must say I quite like it too. No more filthy fingerprints on the cd's ... all clean!! Anyway, In Holland there are a lot of people into trance, but the psytrance scene here is sooo little that most people don't know what you're talking about if you mention Deedrah, Absolum, Infected Mushroom and other psytrance artists...

israel and psy listeners... hehe. so many of them.
i remember myself dancing to infected, skazi, deedrah on my brother's wedding. even every child here already knows what's psytrance. every car passing by with opened windows and full volume psy... and so on
so i think it may be more then djnomolos thinks

That depends on, what kind of trance you think of...
5.500.000 people in Denmark - perhaps 10.000 people listen to it...? And only 5.000 attending parties...well, I might be way off here...

Croatia has around 4 million people I believe...out of that around 400-500 people listen to psytrance, maybe even less

i think the lowest whould be in mouslem countries ther they cant even drink alcohol so parties are not in their dictionary but maybe i'm just beeing a racis... no affance 
like i doubt any1 in lebanon or jordan or iraq  is listening to psytrance or music atall that is not made of a sitar, darbuka and an horaffull vocal...
i think we should do a rmx to umkultum (some arabicmuslem what ever band hehehe) maybe then they will listen to it hehehe *cheers*
