Trance... what it is? an structure or a sound?

So what can be called trance or psytrance?
a) the music that has a trance structure?
b) the music that complains with certain sounds already part of the actual sound of "trance" or psytrance????
I mean donato0 dossy tracks could easily be called trance, while PVD, AVB, Tiesto, Skazi, and Infected recent material cant be named as trance if we refer to it as an structure more than a particular type of sound,
So I propose we stop labeling music by how it sounds, and instead by what it makes to your mind.

Psytrance= Makes you go into a trancey sort of state when listened to at parties for long periods of time, and is psychedelic. If it doesn't do both of those then it's not psychedelic trance 
For me anyway, i guess it's a matter of subjective opinion whether or not a track makes you go into a trance/ is psychedelic but i presume thats the basic idea for most people...? That's what i look for at parties anyways.
I guess for the sake of defining genre the structure/beat/bassline is fairly important aswel, because theres obviously hundreds of ambient/ downbeat tracks that are psychedelic and make you go into a sort of trance, but they arn't psytrance

By the literal criteria of "is perceived as being psychedelic," and "trance-state-inducing," there are many other structures/forms of music that fit the bill.... from some perspectives, arguably better than "psytrance" ;-)
...i think psytrance just has the "cahones", or the self-importance, to name itself by these criteria.... 
it's very nice that the intent is there, in the music and in the gathering of like minds -- but i think ultimately psytrance music has been limited by the scene's ever-narrowing conception of what music is 'psychedelic' 'trance' ... for me, since, I don't know... 2001 or so?
Maybe it's a zionist scheme. (pure lolz)

I think people, parties and festivals should broaden their scope to include all music which is both trippy and danceable, rather than the narrow category of "psytrance".
There's a lot of other trippy, danceable music (breakcore/IDM comes to mind).
Although, "psychedelic" and "trippy" don't mean the same thing |

what is psy what is trance ..?
music genre? not for me. i like psychadelic sounds by all it meens that will progress and make it into complete trance track.. but i like psychadelic adventures and trance state of mind more. the psytrance is the soundtrack of this state of mind. sometimes. less and less i guess with most people throu the years... i can tune into glitchy breaks better then psytrance that has become the best dance music around..
