Trance vs Psy-Rock?

Doesn't anyone think that modern psy trance share many things common between psy rock of 70's?
Not the rythm, but the way the music drives you, the sounds which pink floyd, doors, & jefferson airplane used in their songs, don't they relate to our new craze?

good u brought this up don drop!!!
l was always wanting to start a thread similar to this but with a little twist.
Trance has always been similar to psyrock, conseptwise and soundwise as well as movementwise.. My complaint is that in the last
3-4 years has changed with the newcomers.
we in the past(majority at least) were coming from that psy70's backround. Now the new kids have a heavy-metal backround hence all the guitar heavy driven riffs and the shortage of lovely ladies in the dancefloor(nothing muchist,, but they always put a big smile in our faces.).
overall it has things in common but is it fading? or am l getting older?
PLEASE tell me is the first one ......

Dear Papa Panson ,
first of all , I think there were not many kids during your time .
Regarding influence, ever since so many good heavy metalars realised the beauty of trance .. guitar riffs ..metal fusion..should be an emotional trip with lotta flashbacks sure amazing.. ..
wondering what the coming new generation will be inspired from if not trance.. 
energy is fading .. but thats probably coz of present young generation afraid of growth ?

yes in my opinion its hv alot of influses....and the best example its chemical crew label all the artists there cooming from the rock scene metallll this is the shittttt
