Fuck the money! The music wins, with less money you still can live a good life for sure. You can grow your own things and even eat better than the shit you buy with the money at the supermarket! You can be happy just looking at a beautiful beach or even just admiring a small bird trying to eat a beetle. For the money you need to go everyday to work and it's like a neverending race for you to get the money and buy what you really think is worth it. By time you realise that you worked all your life and half of the things you spent your money on are bullshit and you really didn't need them!
I choose the music it has always taken me to beautiful places and the money comes and goes the music remains deep in my hearth. Why i have so many memories related to music, it comes from deep within the artists soul and fills us up with pure energy to make our dreams come true!

but where did you get your clavia nord lead and modular synthesizers you use?
and where did you get your computer?
and your studio monitors?
you used money.
and honestly i dont need any of your hardware to make good music. i can do it with my macbookpro and cubase4 only. thats fine for me. so i could actually say i use less money than you do.
and you give your music away for free. thats great. do you give away ALL your music? will you do that forever? and should we all do that?
for the record i do give away my older music on www.ocelotmusicshop.com and i gave away a lot of music over the years to charity compilations and whatever, but if you come try to hit me right where it counts i must say - do you know what you are doing and saying? are you really trying to say what i think you are saying?
i think this is just a way for artists to come up in the world. its normal. give away your tracks... once you are in demand and playing everywhere people ask a lot of free things from you and you get used sometimes and you will see what i mean soon enough bro... you will see... mark my words.

Sorry to intrude but you (Ocelot) are taking this thread to personnal (no one is criticizing the use of money)....its not "we should all stop receving/paying money" but simply not make of money the priority of our existence...may it be social, economical or creative!!!! D
Money is a reality, we use it ...no problem there!!! Its just sad when it commands our intentions and deeds.

Buy Ferraris , having castle, and my private huge land for parties with huge lineup for me and friends only 
& a farm for mushrooms and other nice plants! I love nature  & maybe a laboratory for making some experiments! (preparing special mineral water drops)

I think someone is confusing "money you work for", and "money daddy gives you" so that you can watch your bird trying to eat a beetle.....
Money makes business easier, faster... I wish i had a lot, so I could give to needs it more than me, and than maybe buy my soccer club....
keep doing what you do aaron, and i wish all artists would see it like you do..

For the record, the underlying philosophy of the free music movement is not that artists don't deserve anything for their work--far from it. No, we feel that by giving away the recorded work there is more of a demand for the live experience. And, in any event, the whole thing is operated on an opt-in basis. All the guys wishing to charge money for their produced work as well as their live shows are welcome to do so. But for those artists that see the benefit of giving it all away and maximizing promotional exposure--we're here for them, and we're dedicated to raising the professional standards of this emerging distribution system.

last weekend i went to a Compact records in Mèxico, the artist where rude with some people, they think they are superstars, i never see this in other partys never! , i think this time money wins, im very tolerant but this guys take much seriously his rol of jewish people cliches
