o.k, so the situation of the trance scene today is like that:

my friend released a track in one of rami shapira's cds', and he got 5 shekels for each cds' that was sold.
another friend of mine, is going to release 3 tracks on "pipeline" , which is one of the most respectable companies in Europe, and guess what :
first, he only began few months ago, he doesn't have much experience, however, when i saw the document he is about to sign, 1500$ was written on it next to the words : "for the first track", moreover, for the second track he got 1750 and for the third 2000$. btw, he plays techno and groove, and he's not so good at that field. he's just 18 years old and gets more money than most of the trance producers in israel.
it's really a sad situation for the trance scene in israel, and i would like you to tell me what do you think was the cause for all that?

boom, liran

In case you tried to set any conversation up here, this is really sad..
People that are making wonderfull, intelligent, sometimes even GENIUS music get paid so low, much lower than new ones who make technoish, and bad quality music (I didn't wanna use harder words)
even the greatest here in israel has to find another employment to get salary you can't live from music around here (MONEY WISE!!)
i would also really like to know why is this situation caused but i think that israeli people are not so willing to pay money for original music when they can get illegal copies for free..

I dont know how much a trance artist makes, but I konw its not a lot. I dont know if the artists are to blame, the fans, or the lables

my two cents? you know somthing? this is what i really hate. the moment some one is succeeding, (Regardless to talent), someone has a frown to straighten out. the "Situation" your speaking of, is sadly the result of nepotism. simoply put (And especially in israel) if your not the lable's cous`, might as well throw in the towl.

but it's not altogether accurate. sure, you need to be well connected, but somtimes ppl strike out on their own, god given, talent. take cosma for instance. me? never even heard about him or his previous efforts to hit it big. and there he is, and the talent is pouring.
Yahel. i think this guy is the most frowned upon in the scene. why? cause he makes good money of making ppl dance? cause he's successful and your not? strive harder, work more diligantly like those ppl have, and you won't be whining about "the scene being unfair to the true artists".

What Jason said - i did not understand
but i did NOT blame any of them..
not artists, not fans (Ovcourse), not labels..
it is just a man tried to make a point here,
And you laughed at his face

I laughed at No one here. what im simply saying is, instead of Envying at someone cause he succeeded, Work Hard and get where you want to get to on your own, like many of these ppl you frown at did (Yahel, BLT, Cosma, Huja etc).

i don't know whats to frown,
i feel greatest respect for the artist you mentioned (Yahel, BLT, Cosma, Huja).
i am done arguing with any of you,
thats because i do not make music in the level to get paid for it so i dunno how it's like..
