DiMItrY challenged me in another thread to do something uses the ideals Ive been spouting. So here is my idea:.
I think it would be good to start a psychedelic ‘salon’. I would imagine topics ranging from DJing techniques to neuroscience to current events, and lots more. Perhaps there would be a reading list, with people taking turns deciding what the weeks reading material is, and a discussion at the meetings.
I think a research and discussion group would be a positive development for the community because parties are a difficult place to have serious discussions, but the internet is too impersonal. Therefore we need to have a place where we can take the energy we create at parties and use it in the service of intellectual development.
I am not sure where such a gathering would take place; in someones house, or at a rented conference room at a resatraunt or coffee house or where, but if there is interest in the idea I hope people respond enough to justify pursuing the idea.
What do you all think of the idea?
