I'm looking for trance artists that you can just hear their roots in the metal music.
I'm not talking about tracks that include some distorded guitars (not that i mind) but music that you can hear metal elements in it.

Xenomorph, tim schuldt, Not sure whether shift played heavy metal at one time or not, but his music is definitely influenced by it.....Also, Skazi....,

S.U.N Project imo are the most influenced by metal, in Midnight Zombie they use an effects pedal in one part of the track

probably as ppl said here before dark soho and xenomorph came from the metal scene, but u can hear artists influenced by metal as well- digital talk, psychotic micro, dark nebula. |

Hello Nomis I played guitar in a metal band long before I got into electronic music. I got one track up on SoundClick.com called Scripto, check it out. Let me know if you can hear a metal influence.

(it's a project build by the Alastis member : a "century media" dark metal old band from the 80th ;o)
no guitar anymore .. but you can feel their roots !
i will also put some of my old remix to download in my web site ...
(i know i promize it since so loong time ;o) .. but i feel the sound is crab .. and i've got no time to correct it ... so i prefere to take time to clean them and then i put online
i did most of this rmx just for fun ,.. to play it in some special party, like the "Berurier Noir" RMX that i played last year at the anti G-8 massive protest in Lausanne,
but also rmx of :
SOD, Slayer, No means no, Prong, NEUROSIS, Exploited, Entombed, Transport league,....
but this summer i had time to clean some of my Ministry RMX .. and the "Stigmata" and "thieves" are finish and test this summer  ) .. so now i think this too one will be on the web really really soon (just need to go out of my lost mountain to visit my webmaster ;o)
