I just received new hadshot compilation "emergency exit" on vinyl and I was very suprised to see 18 loops there (9 on each record).
I was always adimiring my frend who is a techno dj for the stuff that he was making on 3 turntables - with loops.
Now, I'm very happy that I can try the same with trance loops (I haven't seen trance loops on vinyl before, only some tracks that end in a loop), but I think I will have to use 3 channels on my mixer.
I like it, but isn't that a little to much going in techno way?

Avaishay - with some practise you can get that effect on purpose with any vinyl you like. It involves placing the corner of a sticker/sticky label right where you want the needle to jump back 1 groove on the record.

Hip-hop Djs do it alot, some stickers dont leave marks, so you can remove and replace them how you want.
Took me ages to get right though...

this woiuld be a good time to introduce what me and a firend of mine do.

first off, we never stick to strictly trance, keep it trippy, but never strictly restrict yourself to one genre. but anyways, we use a computer, a few softsynths, two turntables, and two cd decks. the shit we come off with sounds phat as hell. enough to spark the interest of local radio.

with trance, a new direction is the right direction.           -=Keep it Spiritual=-

most of the time people who play with 3 turntables plays the worst ever music.
the only techno dj i heard who plays good music on 3 turntables is called tititon duvante. insted of thinking of gimmicks think about the important things.

Well i personally like to throw in some breaks loops on top of trance tunes sometimes especially prog stuff. I think it gives some tracks a lot more phunk. I have a few cds with just loops on them in bpm sets. Use them in our lives too.

You can also find vinyl with 'lock grooves' which just go round and round and round and round
