Hey who needs a Trance in the US section when we have this thread! :) Keep it coming guys, I really enjoy hearing about the different scenes in America. It would be also be intresting if people could post reviews for parties they have been too. For example I am very intrested in hearing how the TIP Party in NY went last night. I am imagining that Simon and Raja did a killer set! Was anybody there? |

I talked with someone who was there, and he said that it was an amazing party... but that's a second hand experience, so I really can't tell. |

??? ... 'Austin, Texas is considered the live music capitol of America' ... do you travel outside of the state of Texas?
New York, San Francisco, Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, hell, even Nashville far outweigh Austin with live music, brotha.
Hey guys back in the holy land and in the world, I just joined the forum and I think it is excellent. As you may or may not know the Trance scence in America is very primitive, no where close to what is in Israel, That is probably a good thing I guess, You wouldn't want Infected Mushroom making videos on MTV would you? (Even though Erez would I bet if he had the chance) Anyway, I think that if we were more organized it would be easier to oranize parties which I think is the best aspect of Trance music. I know that where I live, Austin, Texas is considered the live music capitol of America, The club owners are afraid to give Psy-Trance a chance that's why they still stick with shitty house/dance music (ATB, Alice Deejay you know what I mean). So the point I was going for in all this endless rambling is that we need a US Section! :)
|

hey, detox, read the whole paragraph will ya.
it has nothing to do with trance in nyc.
it has all to do with being the 'live' music capital.

But TAZ i said about NYC because the thread is about trance in America,i have never been to Texas so i cant have an opinion for what happens there, anyway from what i know Americans like things like Paul Van Dyk and more house orientated stuff, not to mention local dj's and their crappy music.America has a lot to learn... |

detox,
spread your travel outside of nyc. america has a lot to offer in the form of Trance. we have more than texas and new york here.
we welcome all of you here, brotha's and sista's.
and, we can always learn new ways of improving.

Dude, no politics and insults man :)
the fact that a place is the live concert capitol doesn't add or take away from it.
This place is trance related, and there's just not enough trance going around in the states. The US is still in it's very early developing stages trance-wise, especially on the party side (after the American Rotation I can't say that there's nearly no one there to create it, but let's admit it, for a country that size....).
There's just not enough to write about. |

let me ask this - is it Paramount that a "Trance in the U.S" section be built especially? what happenes when we'll watch it's demise when no one will visit it? this site is called Isratrance for a reason, not for being segregative, by all means, but it was first established to disscuss and promote Israeli trance. over time, more and more ppl found out about it, from more and more places. I think it's imperative that a certain section should have it's constant flow of visitors, otherwise, you'll have 2-3 ppl in it everyday, and that'll look a bit awkward. what i m trying to say is - show the money. show that there are enough ppl to go in as to build a section dedicated to Americano Trance. if there is a BIG demand, why the heck not? insofar, i am sorry, but i just don't see enough of you guys out there... :-) |

I modified my first message it wasn't very nice ;) I really don't care if their is a Trance in the US or not. There is a small Psy-Trance scene here that should grow nicely in the next couple of years, and we saw a very nice release of North American Trance artists. If you were in New York and you didn't find any Trance then you weren't looking too hard. |

jason,
coming from atlanta, i agree wholeheartedly with your statement.
but i do pose the following question:
have any of you big dogs over there enterained the thought of promoting your talent here in the usa ??
now, that is something i am sure all of us over here would love to see, imho!!
i believe the usa trancers would flock in droves to experience trance, israeli-style. :)
peace. |

whoa whoa whoa, time out. i aint no big dog here. just a normal joe saying what he thinks.
I for one agree that US trance should and could get better representation and exposure, but these things take time to be built. the trance community in Israel is Vast and varied due to a 10-15 year proccess of such music, on all of it's colors, the good and the bad things. American trance has yet to develop. the people are there, but they are not aware of one another, and the moment they do become aware, that's when they will flock in droves, that's when the notion of setting up a Trance in the U.S section will become a reality. |
