Well, it's a very difficult question, since even now, trance has changed. Meaning that from one side it's going back to its origins, I mean the minimalistic style. But in some other way, it's a kind of a progress. And we all know that if it gets stuck, it'll die someday. How long can it be repeated?
Many countries don't really have a trance culture like we do in Israel. They are much more into techno or even drum & bass and jungle. So I don't think anyone can answer this question. We may answer each individually, regarding our country, but not worldwide speaking.
And who knows, maybe some new music style will be invented? |

Never say always.
You remind me of myself, when I was 16 years old and I adored George Michael, and I was sure I would never be fed up with him.
You change constantly, and so does the world. What you love today, may not be your love tomorrow. |

Trance will change. A lot.
It will never be mainstream, not the pure psychedelic trance, but we may see commercial tech-trance. I think most of the minimal music has already started the move towards a more commercial line (Ticon, Qlap).
But any music which is psychedelic first will never be mainstream, since acid is illegal, and the 60s probably won't repeat themselves. |

and there's always a big chance it will die, but I'd give it at least another 5 years of life, probably a lot more :) |

do you not see?????!?!?! there is such a thing as the future, because it is a noun, therefore it must a physical thing...
WE are the future not meaning that we will change the future, or decide its destiny, but actually if there is such a physical or collective set of objects to be known as the future, then that is us
there you go from now on, everyone of our generation must be referred to as a future, or the future part of the collective future brain
well, im confident psytrance will live for many more years in britain, because here its totally uncommercial maybe israel will be invaded by some of the commercial trance trends we have now, yooull perhaps get more regular progressivey stuff, i dont mean thinks like =ticon etc., because i still regard this as part of the psytrance scene, but i mean the british prog sound, acts like Holden, Empirion, Beatstalker, etc.
or maybe not |
