howzit all you zany ZAians 
i wanted to ask if any of you know of a trance scene in sandton? or, for that matter, any electronic music scene there?

Sandton falls under the Johannesburg area. The electronic music scene (trance, techno, elektro, industrial, ebm, idm, house, etc) is quite big in Jo'burg. The trance scene has also grown a bit over the last couple of months & is being kept alive by organisers such as Lunartech, Hypno-Twist, Toxic Productions & Mushroom Mafia (in association with Teknotribe).
For the general electronic music scene, there are several parties happening every weekend & during the week.
Then there are also trance parties happening almost every weekend. If not, you can always visit Trance Sky Beat Bar in Melville (not too far from Sandton) for your weekly trance dosage .
