This is a connection from another post... http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/41753/forum/16/start/45

I see... thanks for that Hikari. I guess I didn't think of "June 20" as referring to the world outside of Japan when I saw that date mentioned in Taku's post... I assumed it was referring to the Japan release date... silly me... I guess the reason I thought that, is that a) I'm in Japan, and have been for a good many years, b) Taku's label, and I assume Taku, are based in Japan, and c) it was posted in the "Japan" section of Isratrance. So foolishly, I thought it was referring to Japan... silly me! Do I have to sift through everything posted in the "Japan" section of Isratrance, and decide whether it's aimed at me, and people living in Japan, or aimed at 'the rest of the world'??? Seems I do... Is it my language problem??? Perhaps...I read Japanese at a reasonable level, but my native language is English, so...so perhaps I'm missing some wonderful Japanese forum that is out there that is non-organizer/label specific, and just geared towards the music, not the propaganda (nothing wrong with propaganda per se, but nice to read about a VisionQuest event on someplace other than VisionQuest's web site, don't you think, or about Groove-Zone's new release with some comments (in English and Japanese) by people that are not connected to Groove-Zone!!) !!!

Would be nice if there was a bilingual forum based in Japan where we could find these things out first hand, whether our most comfortable language was English or Japanese. Wait a minute...there are...at least two... http://www.japantranceforums.com and Yabukunai's at http://www.createphpbb.com/phpbb/index.php?mforum=terkud

Taku, I really encourage you and other organizers to check it out...both of them ...I want to stay informed of what's happening...in Japan, first and foremost, because that's where I live, and then the rest of the world!!! and Hikari, or anybody else, if you could refer me to a place where I could find this info (perhaps I'm missing something?? Let me know where it is, because, no disrespect to Isratrance, which does a fine fine job, but doesn't Japan deserve it's own comprehensive forum?!?!?) Or the one's that are there, don't they deserve some support?? I have no plan or dream to take the place of Isratrance or Oztrance or some of the more established forums, they will always be somewhere I stop in... would just like something that is a little more relevant to the Japanese scene..ie. Japanese language support, and an eye directly on our great scene!!

I know this has turned into the rant of a somewhat frustrated webmaster, but I really really really would like to see one website/forum where I could stay up to date on the Japan scene... I honestly don't care if it's mine or not!! I find these days, to keep reasonably well informed, I have to read the Solstice BBS and listings, Isratrance, Mixi, and various organizers sites, as well as my and my partners own site...it takes time, and I always feel like I'm missing something!! Does anybody else feel the same way?? I don't know, maybe not...

Hey sickboy.
I have been a part of the japanese trance forums, but due to my busy schedule at work i cannot maintain and write into that many BBS`s.
As a moderator, I have(like) to keep this place updated with information for not only the people in japan, but i would like to inform those of the world on how the japanese trance scene is.

About the info. that you feel your missing out on, this info. will come to you if you hang out with the organizers of japan.

Since i work at a trance distribution, i am fortunate to have a lot of info. about the trance scene in Japan.
The best way is if you could be the window to the people in Japan. All info posted here, should be useful to those in japan. If you have sometime to make it into japanese, it would be great.

If you need any help in getting info. , i would be more than glad to help get you info.

Thanks Hikari... sorry if I sounded a bit cranky in my last post... should stop posting to forums at 2 o'clock in the morning!!

Anyhow, yeah, anything you could pass my way would be great, via contacts or what have you...I have some contacts in the scene, of course, but certainly not enough to cover the vast amount of stuff that takes place in this country. To try and keep simply the party listings updated by myself is extremely time consuming, a labour of love which I try to do as best I can, but unless organizers/labels/etc find it in their interest to post their own info up themselves, it's kind of a losing battle to keep up!!

I'm just interested to know if this Japan concentrated/Japan and English language enabled service is something people actually want?? Do they just not know about it?? Are they satisfied with the current places they find info..?? Anyway, I'll pm you with further talk...

Thanks again!!
Jeff
