I have a feeling that this thread will get sketchy so I will try to explain myself in depth.

For me the only thing that is better then hearing music, is hearing it live
So when I heard that there are some Trance bootlegs going around the internet, I had to give it a try.
If these were being put up for sale I would buy it in a heartbeat, but just like most amazing shows, once they are over they are gone forever.
I live in the States so getting to see a live show like Shpongle or Son Kite is a once in a lifetime experience, having that show recorded in good quality is a beautiful souviner.
Most of my favorite rock bands like U2, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, and Wilco actually encourage people to trade thier bootlegs as long as no money is involved. There are lots of Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix live shows that sound OK but the technology was pretty bad back then, so people will never really get to hear how good they were live (Except for the Wall live ) So what do you guys think, is this going to spread? Am I crazy?
For example I have this Son Kite show that was recorded off the radio in Malmo, it is amazing. Brings back great memories from their show in Toronto, I would love to hear what they think of this.           Both teams played hard

You go to the show and record it using whatever device, them spread around the live-recording.

Never heard any trance bootlegs, but I know there are some around from the big names.

And Seb said some time ago that there'd be a Son Kite live album..now there's a "bootleg" I wanna listen to....live violins!

i feel the same as you. as much as i know there are a lot of live sets available at audiogalaxy. so far i have downloaded only yahel live at brotherhood beach because i have a very slow connection. the sound quality is quite poor, i think it is recorded from a radio show but i still like it a lot. i buy all the records i have, no copies or anything. and i would also buy any liveset released by artists i like. but if they don´t release an official liveset i will get the bootlegs instead...

apparently not all artists are happy with this bootleggin'. someone i know had a mic hanging from a tree at rainbow serpent when xdream played there a few years back.
they were recording onto minidisc for personal use between friends , anyway ,one of xdreams 'crew' came over midway through the set and demanded he be given the disc! suprising yet fair enough , it's there music!

I have a friend who tells me that he keeps in stash dj set mp3's sets by various known trance dj's. I can name a few: Goa Gil, Simon Posford, GMS.
And also there's this Astral Projection fresh bootleg that circulates in the mafia.
I haven't heard this stuff yet but it sounds rather interesting.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

oh come on Borris.
Like Luis said we have the Son Kite live CD to look foward to soon (double album?). Their live is superior. Also, Simon, Reefer Decree, Haldolium, and Infected have some really nice stuff circulating out there.           Both teams played hard
