it is ages that i said to everyone down here "don't post parties in goabase, the police is just waiting for it"....
btw...where is the gain to post parties in goabase??
to have 100 more teens with glowsticks??
nice one....
we have a very small scene here...
it was so difficult to send an email to 200 persons??
but now is too late, police has our mobile numbers and emails, they know where we live and everything about people involved in this scene...
so it doesnt matter if we post parties on goabase, isratrance or psyforum...even if we send a privat email to everyone....they are going to know it in a second....

Interesting discussion. 
The police can monitor most psy-related websites if it is their interest. They let one party go so that in the next one they can arrest more people, creating more impact on the media. I know some people in the Federal police here, and they do what they need to look good in the media.
The problem IMO is not the drugs, which are basically unavoidable in a psy party, but the bad image/preconception psytrance/raves already have because of the deaths, drugs, crimes that are the only things reported in the media when it comes to psy. Worth is to remember that these things happen everywhere else too.
Best advice is: be very careful and try to take small steps in the direction of making the good side of psy shine.

I think that there is a law for the personal data of everyone that can be used in order not to let these data be used by the police as evidences.
Anyway this sucks big time...

Jedi Knight, i Must say you dont know what are you talking about around here. Police is so corrupted these that nobody can really say who are the good ones and who are the bad guys, and if it happens to be a real honest policeman thats gets on the way of drug cartels, well he will get a bullet in his head.
Just for the record, today here in Mexico the police of a entire county resigned cause they're afriad of mafia gunmen.
Here in Mexico cartels have recruited elite army officers (paying them millions of dollars) and now they have even rocket launchers and they engage with the army with equal firepower.
This is not a joke, we have 3,000 deaths already this year and the autorities sais this week we havent seen the worse.
We really need legalizattion urgently or these guys are going to control all the country (they already control half).

Well on small events, there isnt much voilence, there isnt much of stealing!
Drugs?
so what, most music cultures have drugs in them!
GO down town where i live, and everyone is sniffing amphetamine, smoking weed or drinking themselfs to death!
Its everywhere, so what if people use psychedelics!
Thats thier issue, i dont see them hurting people that often!
The culture around psytrance is not a very voilent one from what i've experienced!

the problems is not the real facts but the perception created by media. To fix this we must ask: what atracted attention of media to the scene?
And I think the answer is KIDS using drugs, that got problems and their aprents are driven hysterical.

well reminds me of greece '98-99 i don't remember exactly,they were busting all the parties,all day the media going crazy having ''ravers mother'' on the news,accusing ravers for masochistic orgies with drugs (cause they found flower sticks and though they were whips,LOL)
and i remember my father asking:son,are these the parties you are going to?

You know there is a problem with the scene when there are deaths occurring on a regular basis. How many deaths are there in concerts?
Unfortunately the psy-scene is deeply entrenched in drugs & this is the reason why the authorities will always have a problem with it.
