Trance being presented as criminal on Italian tv..

Eventhough the Italian scene may not be the best, I am sad to inform you all about the following.
Since a while already the Italian police is checking the German site: www.goatrance.de/goabase to be informed about the party-scene, dates & locations. Even if the legal permissions are there, the minute they find the party published on this site, they immediatelly declare the party to be a rave and so, permissions or not, it's illegal. Few days ago another party got busted by the police and the day after it got presented in the news on tv, making all of us trancers look like criminals. Where do we go from here, are we really now being looked at in the same way as serial killers??  |

Authorities Dont Like Trance---they think its the next psychedelic movement like the hippy...people in trance realize things they should not and when collective they realize then they are capable of asking difficult questions and when difficult questions are asked, the authorities have to answer them as they have to uphold DEMONCRAZY...so whats the best way to stop people from thinking...its illegal to dance and listen to loud electronic music at gatherings, unless its house, electro,or paul van dyke...they dont have problem with electronic they have problem with psychedelic electronic. psychedelic causes mind expansion, which is bad for regular society...to maintain normalcy...that is believing the system is good for you...so thats why this global crack down on psy-parties in particular...just trying to cause some paranoia in the trance community...as trancers have become very boring people these days as they are not paranoid enough like they used to be

well leave Italy, it could be an option. it has nothing to do with democracy, but more with fascism and as hippies and psytrance is alternative way of live they do't like it, they want us all to be part of the machine

Absolutely agree it's them against us who know the reality of living in the world they created for us! But we don't like it anymore so we will change it cause when people beleive in one thing it automatically starts the change.
Man not need to leave Italy i think you don't need to put your parties on the internet keep it lower maybe less people will come but i am sure better parties are like this |

Do you really think they even know that it's intended to be psychedelic? Most people, whether authority figure or not, are still stuck on grouping everything involving bright lights and basslines into one "rave" concept that they see as all about ecstasy and meth. I've heard the occasional outrageously unfair story and seen the videos of cops crashing parties with excessive force, but I really don't think they care that much on an individual basis. Unless we start recognizing the psytrance scene as a political movement, there are laws that need to be followed as far as when, where, and how you can have a party. This is unfortunate, but going to a legitimate party, outdoor or indoor, isn't going to result in anyone being arrested or detained, and that should be the priority of any party organizer. The cops are just doing their jobs, and they aren't finding party dates and locations in their spare time..they get a call from a couple people who are annoyed by the loud music or uncomfortable with the party being on private property, and they go shut it down.
If people choose (subconciously or not) to become manufactured consumer whores, and are ignorant enough to look down on a psychedelic lifestyle (whether involving psychedelic drugs or not), then they don't deserve anything near a psychedelic experience, and they aren't ready for one.
I'm just fine with the way that the eccentricity and true creativity that psytrance can inspire acts as its own repellent to keep stupid people at the mall

we have the same problem in israel as much the music is mainstream , 3-4 death cases over the years made the impact and always it was the underground hippie drug related thingy , as much some of us dont touch drugs and only there for the music... most does it cant deny.. sure the great times was before they even knew its exist... but now if you go fully leagal they wont close it , but you gonna have many cops in the party .. searching and sniffing... for illeagal gathering you have 50/50 chanses of get busted
better places would be u.k u.s.a australia and russia as far as i know , in some with the right documents , in some with the right amount of cash lol |

I remember watchin the Portugese news after Freedom festival ( it was in Portugal )!
And the funny thing was that, the only thing the reported talked about was people arrested with drugs!
Like, so much hashish and bla bla bla!
Instead of giving the fucking festival a review of some sort!

Off with your conspiracy theories. Psytrance movement has strong ties with organised crime and drug consumption is on outrageous level. I don't have problem with that, but authorities certainly have. |

akbal....im italian too and had similar experiences before....(party in como area during may day finished on news and national newspaper)
which party was this...didnt hear about it...?!which news channel?
i think in italy there are a few reasons for this (very briefly):
- no clubbing/party culture....especially for alternative music (psy trance, dnb, trance...fast beat music)....lots of house though (and minimal now)..
- the church...condemning these things...and negatively influencing many people
- the shitty police....never seen worst police than the italian?!
- small scene...very underground...
- media....they prefer telling stories rather than the truth
to this you add the previous well known stories of people dying in a few raves (non psy), illegal raves/squats in the middle of cities where police couldnt do anything...and you have a country where these kinds of parties will always be seen as serial killers...
sad...
despite this there is still a very good scene....with legal parties... nice underground ones (which dont get busted) and soon the indoor season will start...

That's my fault. As a Godfather of Trance I have to do "haflot" and "jananot", but I prefer to sell drugs, pimp the bitches and robbing banks. I'll think about cleaning the scene by neutralizing some children like GMS, Astrix and Infected Mushroom.

Is normal too, in a country where the most of the media is in hands of Berlusconi. btw is not only Italy where the auhorities consider psymovement the criminal one, it happens in most countries in Europe. but there are always nice places where the people and authorities are happy there are festivals, for example Hungary, even in eastern part of Germany you can see all the villages involved in the festivals.
but you can keep the scene more underground and smaller, it would be only better ate the end
