Traktor goes "tick"

After 40-50 minutes of recording a mix live in Traktor 2, suddenly the program begins to "get stuck" for a second, then continue it's operation normally. I think the frequency of those "ticks" gets higher as long as my mix is longer.

Why?

I have AMD K7 1400,512RAM and a Delta1010.
I already tried most of Kaz's suggestions for boosting audio related performance and defragmented my audio related and main partitions.

Does it happend only when u record you mix, or when u mix for fun as well?...
coz if it's only when u record, it might have something to do with the fact that the file size u r writing is now 500Mb aprox... the program can have problems accessing this size of file without getting "stuck" for a second or less, that might be the problem..
the best suggestion, i guess, will be to stop the mix in a cetein track, and start a new mix with the same track, and connect it afterwards in a wav editor...

if it's when u mix for fun as well, without recording, i have no idea why it's happening.

I don't think so.
Traktor doesn't record the mix as a WAVE file. It records a macro file (.nmx) first, which can be exported to WAVE.

much worst...
that means he deals with alot of memory, if he's no writing it directly into wave. i dont beleive it's compressed, but if it's compressed, it's problematic as well, coz it takes up % cpu ... i beleive my suggestion will work ok.. if u want to record, do it like i told ya, it's not the best, but it will work. if u work live with it, record it with an external program that records the WAVE channel in the mixer...
the nmx file is a very complex file, with alot of info, including audio, i think that this is the problem...
