Anyone using Traktor 3 successfully with a main mix and a headphone cue mix?
In EMU patch mix sofware, I figure there needs to be two separate ASIO channels, one for main out and one for booth or monitor. However I can't get the cue mix thorugh the EMU dock's headphone output. Tried all sorts of virtual send combos and can't get it. Next stop: EMU tech support.
I am trying to set up a configuration whereby I have the main mix output on one strip, and another "cue" mix playing through headphones. I have the software's routing set up as follows: Main mix output routed to Patchmix ASIO 1/2 channel strip. Booth (monitor) output routed to Patchmix ASIO 3/4 channel strip. I now want to hear the ASIO 3/4 channel strip through the dock headphones only. What type of virtual or aux send do i need to set up?

Hello,
Im not sure with the EMU, but I use it succesfully with NI KORE and it works a charm.
It seems like your card has 2 Stereo Outputs, so its possible. Might have to play with the settings till you get it or call thier tech support.

hi, you might want to check out the 'unofficial emu-forum' (google for link)
also the headphone out is just a copy of the main out, no separation of signal. What you could do if this is the problem is using a splitter to attach your headphone directly to the 3 and 4 out, one that goes from 2 jacks to 1 cinch so you can put your headphone in the cinch

Hi!
You need to make 2 mixer channels in the patch mix software for asio outputs.
Put for example asio 3/4 to master output in Traktor. Then in patch mix send the asio 3/4 channel strip to physical output 2.
Then set asio 1/2 to cue output in traktor. Then in patch mix send the asio 1/2 strip to physical output 1.
Then of course you have to plug your output cables to emu's output 2.
I had to sell my pcmcia 1616 recently but I remember that I had to play around with the output routing for a while before making it work.
I'm not 100% sure I remember thaa config correctly but it was at least close to the one I mentioned above.
And remember that headphones come out always from output 1 in Microdock.
Hope this helped |
