tracks with melodic bass lines/subdued kicks

I like the EBM/industrial style of bassline -- where the bass synth is another melody (sometimes the main melody) and pitches up and down... think Juno Reactor's b-lines, or any of the new style Metropolis acts.
My question: are there any new psy artists with that style of bass? A very layered melodic sound --NOT monotone -- while keeping some of the low frequency rhythms.
Oh, and tracks with a less pronounced Kick drum are welcome too... in fact the two attributes kind of go together (fat bass/softer kick)
I'm looking for funky less-than-killer tracks to play in the evening and daytime, is why I ask  Still pumping, not too hard Dance music, that fits the above criteria.
It's a tough request. Your help is greatly appreciated...

I know one "killer, but not KILLER" track in this style, it's perfect, already released.
