dunno why but everytime i hear a track by neelix i think of modern talking... i think its something with the beat..

^ That's true - there is something Eurodisco-ish about him. Maybe not quite as banal as Modern Talking but something along those lines: that whole stream that poured in 1980s out of Western Germany and now for some reason is called "Italo".

About your remix experiment: I seem to remember all their music was at 120 BPM. I think it was sort of a standard in that genre (American disco was 144, if I am not mistaken). Anyway, what's up with the "Italo" name? None of this stuff came out of Italy!..
P.S. I just compared Neelix to MT and to Sandra. MT are definitely much closer. I may have C.C. Catch and Bad Boys Blue somewhere - wonder if one of them is a closer match. Then we can write an academic paper "Deconstructing Neelix"
